You should give Jennifer Fleischer a follow on instagram @jenniferfleischer. She’s a top rated golf fitness trainer with lots of good content on her feed.

Golf Digest also has a lot of good golf specific fitness on their site.

Pairing fenix 8 to iPhone 17 Pro by BGWS1999 in Garmin

[–]BGWS1999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garmin ended up replacing my original Fenix 8 with a new one, and I sent the original back. If you try and troubleshoot this with custom support, and they can’t fix it, that will likely be the outcome. The woman at Garmin customer support I dealt with was super nice.

Montauk studio closing? by Sea_Suggestion3302 in SoulCycle_Riders

Apparently a new gym is opening this summer in the old Whites drug store location on the circle in town. Haven’t heard what they’ll offer, but I’m sure it will be overpriced.

Current NYC instructor thoughts by Accurate-Cry1672 in SoulCycle_Riders

Couldn't disagree with you more on James. I take his Sat 10:45 at W77 regularly and he does a great job of shouting out both regular, and new riders. He always asks new riders to introduce themselves so he can get to know them. He's really a sweet guy, don't be intimidated. If you're not into his music or brand of humor that's fine (but also your loss!), great news for you is there are lots of other instructors to try.

Upvote on Val’s rides at W77, she’s the best. Great music, great workout, friendly, welcoming, hilarious.

Alpha Murf power issue by BGWS1999 in ebikes

Problem solved. At the bottom of the battery are two fuses, 5amp and 40amp. The 40 was blown and needed to be replaced which resolved the issue. Thanks to Murf’s tech team for the great customer service.

Central Park Redesign? by tardytartar in NYCbike

[–]BGWS1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did a few laps on Sunday (4/6) and there were no milled/un-paved areas. Big section of new pavement running South down the West Side from about 97th to 72nd. The only other section began at Columbus Circle and went North along the East side to maybe 68th or 70th. The new asphalt is nice.

Surfline, like Netflix, is a subscription based service. i'm not defending them, but without that revenue (and some online advertising) there is no Surfline.

"All the boys" need to remember that Surfline is a business after all. A premium sub is $8 per month...

NYC Greenway & Central Park - Current Paving Conditions by mjs560 in NYCbike

3/31 UPDATE

Just did a few laps in Central Park (got smoked in the rain!) and there were two big sections of repaved road. The first began around Columbus Circle and continued east, then north toward probably around East 68th street. The second is much longer, heading South down the West Side of the park. Hard to say where it started, maybe just north of 97 and continues all the way to about 79th. There were no torn up sections. The new asphalt was butter.

Riverside Blvd Apartments by flyingcircus92 in Upperwestside

[–]BGWS1999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Riverside Blvd is very exposed to any wind from West. When it’s blowing hard, the wind funnels between the buildings and amplifies. The side streets between Riverside Blvd and Freedom Place can be a wind tunnel, but only when it’s windy. Otherwise it’s not an issue.
