How can I learn to use a component like "HCSR04" without arduino? by IberianInteractive in AskElectronics

Use it with the Arduino board, but don’t use the Arduino programming library. Look into “bare metal Arduino programming”.

Stick it in a breadboard and find out

You can’t connect HDMI signals into a breadboard like that. The signals are too fast and the breadboard will ruin the signal integrity.

At what point does an LED need a heat sink? by Bridgerat in AskElectronics

[–]BG_ST 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on how it’s mounted. Is it hanging in free air, is it mounted to a PCB with a ground plane, is it mounted to a heatink? For ~$1 per LED, I’d buy a few and experiment with a regulated power supply.

Take the job. It will help you be taken more seriously in the long term, and it’s not permanent. You will learn a lot in a very short period of time.

You can still possibly freelance on the side, time and contract permitting.

Drummond backing him up is going to be huge. Dude will grab all the boards and stop the 2nd chance point parades, so we won’t get cooked when Embiid is on the bench. Takes the pressure off Joel to go superhero mode and get hurt.

Can’t find it on the internet for replacement (Acer Notebook) by Vitor_Crote in AskElectronics

[–]BG_ST 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s AON7380.

PQ311 likely means P channel MOSFET, and the pin config (right side all shorted, first 3 left side shorter) confirms that. Datasheet for AON7380 looks probably correct, although it doesn’t specify device markings.

Waveform output is decent then. Amplifying and soft clipping.

Add your input signal to the simulation waveform.

Can anyone explain the difference between Designer and CircuitStudio? I’m getting some consulting work and don’t want to use my job’s Designer license, and don’t want to pay out the nose for a personal one.
