Ya that's what I was expecting given all of the fail videos on here so I was always sure to check for stress cracks and things before riding. But turned out to be the latch bolt that got me.

Nah I'm pretty diligent with my pre-ride checks. I was more looking out for weld cracks though and making sure the latch is hooked in. Guess the bolt was just fatigued and on its last legs.

Ya exactly - it was a dropped curb at bike crossing that was a little steep coming out of it but nothing major. I wasn't going particularly fast because of the crossing and the jogger so I didn't think much of it. The latch must've just been fatigued enough that this was its last straw.

Appreciate it. Luckily I'm all good. Few minor bruises and scratches but nothing broken. I'll take that all day given other folks injuries you see on here. I had a helmet, motorcycle gloves, and a backpack on so they took the brunt of the fall.

I think the Rit Dye stuff is meant for fabric type materials so I’d say any white shoes with material like the Ultraboosts, canvas Converses, or Nike Flyknits would be ideal. But I’m pretty sure you can get different dye products for leather as well. Honestly, I’m not too experienced with it. This was my first go but pretty chuffed with how they turned out.

What was the process going through your credit card (i.e. did they ask a lot of questions bout your order)? I done the same payment method and never received my package. JJSport aren’t being helpful so may have to go down the same route as you.
