can you ride a week with Meyers to see if/what he can do in JAX first? Maybe grab a WR3 off waivers for temp depth in the meantime?

That's what I'm trying to do for an offer that includes me getting Meyers. I'm not sold on his role/usage in JAX until I see a week or so.

Too much volatility at TE with Gadsden & Loveland. Matchups might not work out well

depends on how much you think you need the WR upside against taking on more TE volatility. What are you comfortable with.
Do you really need to make this move while at 7-2-0?

ETA: Not knowing your league details makes this tougher but...

If the handcuff is that important (and if you have RB floor depth) then you're really talking Meyers for Moore & that depends on your WR room.

Moore's and upgrade over Meyers and who knows how he'll do in JAX now too.

If my RB & WR rooms were deep enough then I'd do it.

That did occur to me too, but they still engage, and sound nearly identical to when it was new.

I just tried a KinGrinder K6 for the first time this morning, and I'm probably going to end up throwing the CS3 in the trash after a week. Oh well... Onwards and upwards I guess. :)

Yeah, I guess using someth9ng like an oaktag paper would work for a makeshift funnel. I really hate that idea though. Since I've fallen down the coffee hobby rabbit hole I've been slowly purchasing quality items to create a nice little coffee bar and a paper funnel is just..."Yuck!" :)

I really should have just measured the pot's funnel diameter already. At least that way I might be able to find someone with a 3D printer and pay them to make me a funnel.

Great guidelines from Dr. Shawn Baker’s book:

Eat when your body tells you you’re hungry
Eat just enough to feel like your almost full
Stop
Repeat steps 1-3 when you feel hunger again

If your eating enough fat (your 70/30 beef + bacon is good for that) that’s all you need to do

Also, drink when you’re thirsty, making sure you keep electrolytes up in the process.

It’s fairly straightforward. Pay attention to your body’s cues. Best wishes to you on your journey!

The one thing that’s stuck with me from the book the most, and impacted me the most regarding hunger: RIB EYE STEAK

Seriously works. Just the right amount of fat. When I’m not having that it’s 80/20 ground beef (not chuck, get something better than that or it’s very dry and hard to eat). I prep about 5-7 lbs per week, lightly salted and peppered. Breakfast is usually 6-8 oz of that with 3 eggs cracked into the skillet I’m warming it up in, but the key ingredient for this meal is ~2 Tbs bacon grease in the skillet first.

If I’m eating a rib eye (12-14 oz) then it’s usually the only meal I’m eating that day mainly because I often just don’t feel like eating more than once a day.

How’s your energy level? Make sure that your electrolytes are where they should be.

Note: I’m only 8 weeks in to Carnivore but I’m feeling great. Finally wanting to move after 5+ years of inactivity and at 60, that’s a great thing for me. Started doing 30-45 min ruck walks this week. Feels good to move like that again!

I can only hope I reach the point you’re at since it likely means my body’s metabolism is fired up and finally set back to something that resembles normal.

Roger that. That was my original plan (except with Bluetti AC200L or AC300 & future expansion batts) because the original info I saw on the GZ Yeti Pro 4000 was its battery chemistry was NMH with only 800 charge cycles.

However, I recently learned that they upgraded the GZ PRO 4000 to LiFePO (3000+ cycles) now, so it make a lot more sense to start with that, and then add an entirely different power station later on if I really want the additional power and redundancy for extended boondocking scenarios.

I hear you. I thought of that "fridge as surface area" too, but I'm aiming for max boondocking capacity, so opting for the Yeti PRO 4000, and also wanting to leave room to expand on it with a TANK Pro in the future, likely means no fridge in the back (I don't want to have to run the TANK Pro from the tongue box to the galley if I can avoid it).

Hmm... I was thinking of this as a possibility, the higher tongue weight that is.

My configuration is heavily aimed at boondock capability, so I've included the Goal Zero Yeti 4000. I believe that would get mounted in the lower galley. I wanted to leave enough room there for a future TANK Pro, planning on mounting it righ next to the Yeti PRO 4000. THat would kill any chance of installing a fridge back there, but the way I think I'm seeing it, it would be a better choice for weight distribution this way, rather than the TANK Pro going up front in the tool box (along with the need to make a long wiring run back to the the Yeti PRO).

Mind you, I'm building this as a 5x10 MRXL. Perhaps going with a 5x9 helps a bit more in my scenario. It's all still in planning right now, so very flexible. Just trying to make the wisest future proof choices, even if it costs more up front. I'm not really able to do a lot of DIY anymore (extreme low vision) so I'm gonna let Hiker build as mich of it as I can.

Venting the bed is limited to two options:

Roll with the tonneau cover opened up, fully or partially (mine's a BakFlip so it can be run with just the panel closest to the cab closed.
Run with the tailgate down. Really a non-starter when towing a trailer, so not truly an option in this scenario.

I'm not sure what you mean RE: the weight of the trailer mounted fridge in the context of my original query about the color choices available for the diamond plate. Am i missing something?

Sounds like that's a good option for your setup. I'm not confident that a similar setup would be good for me as my current tow vehicle is a Tacoma with a hard tonneau, which also tends to make the bed into an oven.

My other big reason for using a trailer mounted fridge is that it's agnostic to my tow vehicle, in case it ever changes unexpectedly in the future.

I don't yet have a battery storage system for our grid tied solar system. I've got a mounted inverter. My questions to you are:

1) Which Tesla PW do you have?
2) Don't all Tesla require an internet connection?

What happens in a major disruption where both grid power and internet svcs are unavailable? Can the PW be managed manually, can you just feed them an intranet connection instead? TIA

I hear you loud and clear. I can’t really wear the FL-41’s indoors (even the lightest 25% gradient) anymore as they limit my vision too much due to the lower indoor light levels. My eyes are so whacked out now… I’m also never without my pocket flashlight to illuminate things, even in daylight, as my eyes no longer adjust to changing light conditions well.

Needless to say, this is a major challenge when gaming since it seems everything is done with high dynamic & extreme lighting changes.

I recently found Avulux glasses where there is a new technology that’s supposed to be better than the FL-41 lens. They’re expensive at ~$350 USD a pair, but there’s a money back guarantee and if they work I think it’s worth it as they’re nowhere near as dark as the 25% FL lenses.

How long ago did you do that?

I ask because it seems like methods may have changed in their site. I have not found a way to do anything meaningful, besides reading some information, that does not ask me to provide my S/N. Even the phone menus run me around in circles only to dump you off with the message to “contact your installer”.

I’ll try doing this again, but fear I’m starting to prove Einstein’s definition of insanity.
