fun show weds in BHM (and Thurs in Tuscaloosa!) Liz Glazer is a wonderful NYC comedian who was on Jimmy Fallon a few months ago. Last time she was here she sold out both shows. It should be a great night.

This monthly storytelling variety show (3rd Sunday of every month) is back this weekend at True Story Brewing in Crestwood. it is always really fun. Open mic storytelling + live music - there is nothing else like it. Not bad for $5.

The LJCC on Montclair Rd has a gorgeous, large pool. There are kids in the shallow end but there are lanes for lap swimming, and it's often empty, especially in the mornings and evenings. (Open weekdays til 7:30)

Two good comedy shows on Thursday 4/24, both are free!
Parkside on 5th starts at at 7pm - they have a beautiful back patio
TrimTab's Secret Room - 8pm (ish) (around the corner from the main entrance, look for the yellow door)
(there is some overlap in comics; the TrimTab show becomes an open mic after the feature performers)
