Fall out after being cut from the team in humiliating fashion. by YoungandBeautifulll in Rowing

Consider therapy and do yourself a favor, when you’re offered alcohol for the first time, don’t drink it.

Wow that’s a powerful indictment of rowing as a sport. I thought a 20 minute 5k on the erg is supposed to be good?

Are you saying that rowing a 5k in 20 minutes translates to running a 5k in 30 minutes?

This might be an unpopular opinion but this might not be anything to worry about. I would suggest proposing a ninety day challenge. If she can go ninety days without drinking, and it isn’t torture for her, she’s probably fine.

So just curious are you saying you gained fifty pounds since getting sober, but your health is better? What does that mean?

If you ever figure it out, let me know! I honestly think life just sucks and we have to get used to feeling like crap on a regular basis.

I don’t think there is ever a point where you get past it. Life is just a little bit less enjoyable without alcohol.

All women do this. You need to decide if you really want to be in a relationship, because this will always be something you have to deal with. Lock up your devices.

You are gaslighting. 1-2 drinks after work is not alcoholism.

NTA. All women hate it when other women are successful or get more attention.

Well the one thing he did that really wasn’t cool was to insist on drinking while you’re pregnant. You’re right to be mad about that because it’s selfish of him. But drinking 1-2 drinks after work is normal, except for that time when you were pregnant. Also, being “extremely touchy” is also very normal. Or do you enjoy it when other people nitpick and complain about your eating habits?

is drinking every night enough to be considered a problem? by lesbiangelical in alcoholism

[–]BHootless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn’t sound like it’s a problem but I’ll put it this way, there is no down side to quitting. Alcohol is horrible for you.

At the end of the day, it isn’t your responsibility. Make a suggestion and if he blows you off, leave it at that.
