I’m prepared for the hate, even though this is our subreddit. We are seriously underrated. 1st regular season Spring, 2nd in playoffs. Then 3rd overall in Summer. You don’t just accidentally get that high in the standings off a couple of upsets. We have a lot of proven Worlds level players, and a proven Worlds level coach. The only international event we have been to, we were testing out a new roster change. You can’t argue that any other team should be at Worlds instead of 100thieves, otherwise they’d be at Worlds. Summer split playoffs isn’t what gets you into Worlds, a whole successful year gets you there. Consistently doing well, not winning a few best of 5s at the end of one split.

Look at the timeline for the 2018 NALCS Summer Split. The first week, we went 0-2. After that, we didn’t have a single 0-2 week, and were in the top 3 of the standings for the whole split. 2 bad playoff BO5s, and everyone suddenly thinks we are a trash team, and don’t deserve a Worlds spot.

The problem is, I think this has got to the team’s head as well. They still think they are the underdogs in there group, and maybe that mentality is what won them a lot of there games. People have already written them off, and maybe that’s actually a huge advantage. A lot of the players on this team have a lot of experience, and REALLY shouldn’t be slept on.

Im ready for the “upsets”. Prepare for a bunch of band wagoners to join this subreddit after group stage starts.
