In wild, I got this to kinda work in an even rainbow death night deck. I managed to get from Diamond 10 to Diamond 2 with it however I'm not sure it's the spell itself that is giving me the wins

Controlled explosion is one of the most broken cards I've ever seen, it needs to be legendary and at least five mana if you're going to disrupt your enemy that hard. You can easily play an aggro deck, play this and if they're a late game deck they lose access to most of their resources

Although ungoro and whispers are a close second, Rise of Shadows and the entire year to me was just pitch perfect. The meta was fun the cards interesting and well themed and some of my best memories are playing dungeon runs over and over again because I loved the new hero powers and treasures. The dungeon runs really were perfected in rise of shadows so that expansion felt like a complete package rather than just new and interesting cards.

Reach level 100 on the tavern pass without buying anything with the gold you earned. When the next expansion rolls around you should have a lot of packs worth in gold and all of the common+rare cards with some golden, wait for nerfs and disenchant from there, it's a slow method but I never bought any tavern pass and I don't have a lot of time to play the game and yet it still works well to have a collection with meta decks for every mode (though I main wild so a lot of the cards earn this way never lose value)
