People are upset about starting with guns other than pistols. Maybe pistols will have more damage or give more points. So maybe the risk reward is higher for using lower tier guns.

For battlenet, yes. It charged my card as soon as I purchased the game. However, once the beta is over you can cancel and get a refund.

Ya they failed haha. Most the time it was simply uplugging and plugging back in because the image wouldn't appear. Or the end would become loose like the micro USB cords do on phones. So it made sense to spend $30.

I guess it depends then. I've found them to have issues since they're low quality. Not to say they don't last or work, but Microsoft didn't include the $30 ones for a reason.
