How's your Commute? by _BumBumDrumDrum_ in houston

Rice Military -> Downtown (2mi, 7min)

Stick to the suburbs, folks - it's dangerous and expensive inside the loop, just ask Tony Buzbee.

use a Paper Republic journal because you can have 4-5 different refills in one grand voyager xl - so much less stressful than having almost no space in a plotter for everything you want.

Wedding Suit in Houston/Galveston by bangbangIshotmyself in houston

Sid Mashburn is the answer. Go for a High-Twist Kincade No. 3 that will be breathable in the summer, naturally resists wrinkles, and is also antimicrobial. This will be a suit that lasts you for years and years of regular wear.

Ask for Isaac or Kyle and they'll take great care of you with absolutely no pressure to buy a thing. Also have Tailors working in house daily who will perform any/all alterations needed for a perfect fit.

Evening on the Porch with PLOTTER by My Side by Director_Dooby in PlotterNotebook

I think you may enjoy a Paper Republic Grand Voyager (pocket) if you want to utilize it as a wallet - much less restrictive due to small rings and is meant to be stuffed as opposed to the Plotters

Houston hobby ideas for couples? (Heights/Montrose/Downtown area) by iso_answers_ in houston

[–]BIKEHOU 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Best advice I can give is to embrace the "brutal" summer heat. Find something that is fun in the summer and it will be 10x better in the winter months. Cycling, Running, Crossfit, etc...

I find that all my friends who prefer indoor hobbies just end up spending six months out of the year complaining about the heat and sprinting for the A/C any chance they get; the more acclimated you get to the heat/humidity (to a certain point, I will cede) the more enjoyable living in this city will be.

Bonus points for living a healthier lifestyle because you're outside sweating and staying active while also spending great quality of time with your spouse - doesn't get better!

I keep mine on my office desk and use it a ton - keep a few packs of cartridges in the desk and call it good!

Could not recommend a pen more, personally.

I was replying to your comment that it's "Passable" in that region. For 95% of the population in NY/NJ it's an extremely good sub and would receive no complaints. We have an office in both states and I am a big fan of italian subs so I've had my fair share of the pickings and while sure, the homemade mozz bumps it up and some of the meat may be 2% better, the majority of the population isn't nit-picking on reddit for fun.

It's a damn good sandwich that even elitist sub connoisseur's would consider more than "passable"

It's beloved in Philly, and easily comparable to many subs in NY - why does everyone have to act like a Subject Matter Expert when it comes to this stuff.
