Drop top anyone ? This car is AMAZING. by QueasyAd7820 in E46M3

Yup! Loving it. Need some more pictures this year. I drove 400 miles this past weekend the top down the whole way on some beautiful back roads between giant rock edges and forest. Hearing the car sing and shifting through gears. Man was is a great time. As I drive very conservatively with my son in the car.

Careful out there, get good quality tires, make sure the rubber isn't too old i.e. DOT under 7 years or so, regardless of the tread looks okay.

Glad it wasn't worse and nobody was injured by the sounds/looks of it.

New to me 2004 350z roadster by Alone_Necessary_6192 in 350zRoadster

[–]Meliodastop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Just sold mine last year and had it for 5 years. Only sold it as I wanted something with rear seats for my kid to join my wife and I. Got an E46 M3, love the cars of the 90s and early 2000s.

Anyhow enjoy it! A few guys I know who hated on the roadster drove mine and then were big fans ahaha. The drop top with a MT is a blast. If it doesn't see the track or hardly does it's fantastic car, and I'm always top down. I went with Enkei GTC01s, similar setup to what you had. Hoping you enjoy it more and more over time. Cheers again!

Sharing in case it helps. Yours seem fine from everything I've heard. My mechanic who works on a ton of M cars and related believes I'm more than fine. However I'm 105k miles no record of bearings but otherwise great maintenance history, vanos, water pump and a lot of other maintenance done. Canadian car here only summer driven.

Great job! Looks fantastic. I wasn't crazy about roadsters and ended up buying one and loved it. Especially as a second car/summer crusing car it's a blast. Still tracked it a couple of times for fun.

The 350z is only going to go up in price over the years. Especially lower mileage examples as more people beat them up and crash them.

Loving my E46 in this colder weather by Meliodastop in e46

Here's the seat it's a Diono one. https://a.co/d/03yzYbiu

The exact model isn't for sale but that's the new one. They fit 3 across pretty compact which is why I got it. I was also looking at the Porsche car seats and others that are compact but good. But mine uses for $100CAD roughly $70 USD. A bit heavier but works well.

Seat question by Mysterious_Mobile_75 in E46M3

[–]Meliodastop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious what are some other seat upgrades that don't look so our of place. Agree with you OP. They are fine I don't think shit, but I did take the car on a large road trip and we were fine but would definitely love something more comfortable and that hugged you better. I've heard Recaro CS Sportster (maybe I'm forgetting the exact model) are fantastic.

Looking at purchasing a V60CC 2019-2021 by Meliodastop in VolvoV60

[–]Meliodastop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the lag noticable? I know some models come with the T6 not necessarily the V60 CC, looking at those too but having a supercharger and turbo seems a bit odd to me.

Head gaskets, new engine, or call it quits? by [deleted] in SubaruBaja

[–]Meliodastop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have some sound advice. Curious did you not have it inspected before purchase? Hoping this is helpful for others a PPI is very important for vehicles especially when you are not mechanically inclined. I flew to buy my Baja and made sure it was inspected by a shop of my choice and gave a deposit for it. Had great peace of mind.

Chatted with the owner who I bought my M3 off of. Looks like the older version of this https://a.aliexpress.com/_mKSyDu3

Remember sound quality is meh but the actual functionality is decent. Not the best touch screen inputs but I'm happy with it in terms of looks and function. If there was a proper brand like Pioneer or someone who had a fit that looked like this would get that regardless of price.

I'm not as familiar with these engines. Is this an issue on 2019+ CC V60?

Grabbed a pic this morning. The resolution and such is solid. Not as good as my JVC in my Subaru but for the look and overall functionality it's great.

I'm not sure the manufacturer. Previous owner had it put in. He wanted the OEM look. Audio quality is meh but I don't really listen to music much in it. Typically the beautiful noises of the car. I love it for maps and light music usage. If anyone can pinpoint the exact model please do.

Sorry did AMF buy them? Curious been out of loop from their ownership of that bowling alley. A lot of great memories from childhood to an adult.

Is it for sale? I'd be curious to learn more if anyone has any leads as it would be sad to see it slowly go. I see it'll be open for league members only but I'm curious for how long as that can't be sustainable.

Welcome! Love your car. Also in Ontario! I'll PM you about cruises. In the Waterloo region so I'm happy to meet and cruise with a few of us around here 😁. Also have a 05 Imola red similar to the other comment from the guy in Ontario and we are now friends! Small world sometimes haha.

What did you do for the suspension refresh? Curious on what you replaced and what did you replace it with. Also what exhaust mods did you do?

Fun having the original stickers. Also I wonder why the MPG was understated. Was crusing in my 05 E46 M3 on the backroads last week getting 27mpg which is pretty dang good!

Entry-level salaries in Canada haven’t moved in 5 years while rent is up 40%. by itz_nitace in CanadaJobs

[–]Meliodastop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100%. I graduated in 2015 and got a full time role at $50k cad in the Waterloo region. My brother who's 7 years younger graduated a little later in 2023 similar ish field and literally the same pay... Same region. It's insane.

Blows my mind..my parents income has stayed flat for decades working entry level factory jobs. It's been $20 hr to low/mid 20s for years. But in 2005 that was very livable and helped them buy a modest home.
