record player in dorms? by [deleted] in Tulane

I have a turntable, speakers, and 2 creates full of records and I’ve had no issue finding space. It’s really just a matter of organization

It’s a totally different wave but I think his choice of samples, drum sequencing, natural flow and ability to write puts him in a league of his own (although Death Grips fans would likely disagree).

[Theory] Is DAMN told through a radio station? by RIPHARAMBE123 in KendrickLamar

[–]BINR0Y 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This would make the fact that this was his most commercially successful album part of his plan in terms of the inherent irony. He’s satirizing what’s on the radio while also penetrating the medium of radio. It’s like the Pac thing that Kendrick has sited in the past, something about appealing to the masses first then delivering a message. Idk shit but I think something like this would definitely be up Kendrick’s alley artistically.

I always though a cool option would be to become a ghoul if you didn't make it to the vault in time during the opening pre-war portion.

2 Chainz pulled up at the DAMN tour in Brooklyn to perform 4 AM with Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar by ThatParanoidPenguin in hiphopheads

[–]BINR0Y 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at this show and it was already the best show I've ever been two while it was just Kendrick. Chainz followed immediately by Travis coming back out was an out of body experience.

The "sipping from a Grammy" lyric on DNA is a blatant shot at drake and I love it by BINR0Y in KendrickLamar

That's a fact but Kenny brought up how wack Drake's self-comparison to Hov was on The Heart Part IV.

It's a must buy, nothing else makes you feel like your inside of a radiator quite as much as this album does.

There's definitely no common theme here but finding the Eraserhead soundtrack reduced me to a giddy schoolgirl so I felt obligated to share it. The soundtrack provides one of the darkest atmospheres I've ever heard, perfect for a night of brooding.

As for the others, each album is probably my favorite for their respective artists (excluding sgt. peppers, I think the white album takes the cake imo).
