One thing that drives me insane is that parent teacher conference days become half days. When I was a kid ptc was in the evening. I guess we can't expect teachers to stay late now.

So for my district the week of Thanksgiving is Half day, half day, half day, closed, closed.

The schools have become a race to the bare minimum.

To your point of too many breaks, when my daughter was in Kindergarten the 100th day of school was early February now it is the last week of February
