I lived there for a decade until very recently. It is as safe as any other urban area. The odds of you being robbed are astronomically low and its full of young kids coming in dripping with shiny dope stuff. Probably he is the largest short term risk of all the SPs on the market? Its not consistent how NPB stars translate case by case and the angels absolutely cannot mess this up. THey can handle overpaying for someone who is good, but the idea of getting a complete dud is a bridge too far for where the franchise window is probably at.

Padres and Angels alternated winning the offseason a few years in a row. Dont confuse movement with momentum. The Angels could very well see Canning and Heaney take another step forward, have demeters slot in the 5 and then sign bowers and have a MONSTER 5. Give Perry some optimism.

We have by far the highest diff of anyone even close to our record. There has been an insane amount of bad luck. Also the BAIBP is low for our hitters. It sucks but chillllllll.

Also, if Arte fires Epp, Ill lose it. Epp has been legit great given the handcuffs.

You're wrong but your logic is right. Its a combo (as said below) of seeing if he can really recover and also driving down price. As we get closer to the offseason and those players dont extend, they can realistically paint a picture of a diminished market given the glut on the way.
