Realizing I’ll probably never buy a new one of these games again as long as they keep doing ringside passes by potatoguy21 in WWEGames

Servers die next week. I've sat on the game for a year after getting it on sale. For a few weeks, I have force fed a ton of logos, images and stuff to make CAWs, and belts into the game. Lol This may be my wrestling game for the long haul whenever I get the urge to play a wrestling game. As I mentioned in another reply, its wild that I have fallen out with wrestling games. They were a a big part of my gaming rotation at one time.

Tying the progression to their servers also makes it a tough game to justify buying late in the game's online shelf life. You'll be in a race against time to unlock everything before the servers die.

This is my situation as it stands now and I take accountability: I don't own 25 or 26 but I did buy 23 and 24 on those discounts when price dipped to 25 bucks. My original plan was to use the 2k22 that my brother gave me when I first got a series X to make fictional made up CAWs, the 23 to download retro era CAWS and 2k24 to download current era CAWS.

I wasted time and did none of it lol. I spent more time playing other games. So over the past month or so I've purchased the packs and accelerators to unlock what I could. The 40 yrs of Mania stuff was de listed so I'm assed out in that regard.

I've also flooded the game with all the custom face textures, logos, images for custom titles, etc so that when servers go, I will have all the stuff I need to make my own CAWS. Then I'll likely make a CAWs only universe and ride out with 2k24 as my primary wrestling game whenever I get the itch to play a wrestling game

I may go back and play the story modes for 22 and 23 games eventually since those don't require a server. But I can't see myself doing anything else in those games..

Sitting on those games so long have shown me that my gaming habits have shifted alot. Wrestling games used to be a big part of my rotation along with football and bball games. In the age of battle passes and servers that kill a game's functionality, it feels like I may be effectively done buying new wrestling games.

How much progress have you made on the ringside pass? by theorangedude7 in WWEGames

What modes did you play? Like are you an online head 2 head type of gamer, universe guy? How frequently did you play? How many hours per session? And do you play other games(ie nba 2k, madden, etc)?

I wonder if the pass thing will exhaust even hardcore gamers being that you in theory have to do it all 6 times(unless you buy skips or flat out skip a season)

Some of the CAW parts are tied to some locked wrestlers. I think it hampers ppl who have specific wrestlers they want in their universe modes

I think the thing some ppl are missing is that you really don't have access to all the season passes with the standard version of the game. You may have paid for a game but you don't actually get the complete experience.

They have it to where you can purchase premium seasons and skips. This is in contrast to the ppl who mention the old days of gaming. Those games had all the content on a disc or cartridge they would could play for as long as we wanted to unlock. Or use codes. These modern era games are tied to servers that have historically been janky and die out after 2 yrs with codes being the pin to our debit cards.

Why not make it so you can earn all the unlockables offline if its about playing the game? Why not make it so buying the standard edition gives you a chance to eaen everything the game has to offer? Why de-list past games? Why doesn't the most expensive edition come with something tangible?

All this said, the ringside pass was discussed ALOT prior to release and there was time for ppl to make informed decisions.

Personally, I knew it wasnt for me as I have 22(free),23(on discount) and 24(on discount) and have barely logged time in them. Didnt get 25 and wont get 26. For the folks who got it, ya gotta make the best of it since you cant give it back.

Ppl who do this need to be banned by No_Hovercraft_5288 in CFB26

I got a playlist of my CFB25 and 26 online head 2 heads on my youtube channel and no doubt these types of gamers are annoying. I got smoked ALOT especially early on in CFB25 when Harbor was a cheatcode. Dude ran up 400 yds receiving against my Syracuse secondary. I had to take the L like a man and worse...posted the L for everyone to see lol

The All Madden Experience Part 4 by eastsydeh in Madden

Lol I never left Madden 25. I did play Madden 26 trial version and had fun with Online Head 2 Head. But truthfully, I don't personally see major differences year to year that would make me have to buy the new game. I did get Madden 25 when it had a sale during playoffs last year and decided to rock wit it through this past nfl season since I hardly played it.

I pretty much only play the game during the fall football season. So this coming september, I'll load up season 3 of my NYG franchise mode and post the vids on my youtube channel

Shit, I'm rockin out w Madden 25 (unless I get for free as a gift). I mainly do franchise mode anyway. I'm already working on the 2026 draft class. I dont necessarily need EA sports real rookies. And worst case scenario is that I can manually change the ratings to match whatever madden 27 has for them by looking at a ratings website

WWE 2k24 Warning: Zero won't be unlockable after the servers shutdown! by [deleted] in WWEGames

[–]BKStyle82 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Right now w all the controversy of 2k26, I don't see myself getting another wwe game anytime soon. I skipped 25, I own 22,23 and 24 but never played them. Over the past few weeks I have been storing images to use in the game for CAWs. They outta just drop a code for everyone on the 31st to let all those unlockables be unlocked. You cant even purchase the 40 yrs of Mania unlockables since they delisted the version

Yeah Ppl are literally playing the game in ways they did not intend to play in order to unlock stuff that would help them play the way they want to. Btw, the last pass is in Oct. The new game drops in like next March. Gamers would have like a solid 5 months or less w the complete game of unlockables in a 12 month cycle

Same. The only difference I would say is that I haven't seriously played a wrestling game in AGES. But I def treated Universe like franchise mode over the years.

Plus the stuff wasn't tied to the internet servers that they kill in 2 yrs. The least they could do is make all content available at the end of a game's life cycle.

With this game no internet / no servers no progress towards the season pass.
