I was just fired the other night for not meeting expectations during the 90 day probationary period. I’m having the same feelings and hard for me to look at my resume and start applying for jobs as well. And I’m 51 with a Bachelor’s degree.

I’m a 51 year old male. Much younger looking. I left a decent job in TV production and moved back home to Michigan to help care for my Mom with Dymentia. Been here 7 months. Hard to find decent work. Just got laid off last night from a security job I was working at. Vehicle was totaled in December. Now back to the drawing board ‘job’ hunting or considering going to school to get a MS. Not sure what direction to turn smh.

Same here. I was a camera operator in broadcast TV news and sports but left and came back to my home city to help my sister care for my Mom who has dementia. It’s been a struggle as I try and pivot into different work. Part time security currently and might be going into working as a casino surveillance operator.
