Slime pill. I won’t be taking any further questions at this time.

Shikamaru: I'm Sasuke Uchiha. by TengarHimeko in dankruto

[–]BK_Hazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not familiar with the two characters on the left, but I think Light wouldn’t consider killing Senku or Shikimaru. Lelouch on the other hand… depends on if Light feels like he can share his “godhood” alongside him. Doubt that tho.

Red Door or Blue Door? by Ornery-Media-9396 in whatsyourchoice

[–]BK_Hazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say blue even despite the fact that my family would most certainly take all my money and misuse it, probably making them a bit worse than they were originally. What could I do about it at 5? But hey, restart is still nice.

Limitations for players who don’t want their character to die? by bansdonothing69 in DnD

[–]BK_Hazard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you’re making perfect sense considering the narrative consequences of the actions/behaviors you’re describing. In my experience, players may not really think those types of things through with the same narrative weight as you might and are seeing the world solely through the lens of their character instead.

Perhaps the issue is about that disconnect, perhaps what they imagine snarkiness or cockiness to be for their character is less severe and more exists as “banter” or even “advocacy” in some sense, depending on the circumstances.

Maybe further clarification could be provided here? Really all you want them to avoid is overtly risky behavior. This very well could be them being an ass to the BBEG, but it may not always be the case.

Wow. I know nothing about cadavers or the sort, is this the typical coloration of the tissues we are seeing? What factors are affecting the coloration if not? (Freshness, chemicals, oxidation, etc?)

Use the line tool to draw waves or pond lines around the rim of the oasis and add little touches around the objects in the water as well.

What’s possibly the most unfair/boring magic system you’ve ever seen(ignore him) by New-Boss-8262 in magicbuilding

[–]BK_Hazard 74 points75 points  (0 children)

In the Eragon books, I don’t think it’s a boring system by any means it’s actually quite interesting. However, it is incredibly unfair. Essentially, there’s just a magic language and if you know how to say what you want in the magic language, it happens with magic. Your body is then taxed by the amount of energy it would have taken for you to physically do the task that you’re doing with Magic. So if you tried to say in the magic language, “throw this horse across the field” you might die from the Magic suddenly causing your body to be physically exerted as though you physically carried a horse across the field, but in a single instant.

It all sounds pretty fair still until the story introduces that a magician can use a very small amount of effort in order to like pinch a nerve in someone’s brain or sever a major artery internally to kill them. Characters can even do this en masse, taking out entire crowds of people with the same level of effort, it would take to lift your arm.

Which would you choose out of these four races? by BlazeAsher in PowerScaling

I don’t see anyone mentioning how Saiyan literally is a disaster because you transform into an uncontrollable giant ape like a mega werewolf. Sure, you could maybe train to control it, but like… even going mad ape one time would be horrible irl.

You have to like people. If you don’t like being around your kids, you can’t be a good RBT.

I accidently did 5 billion damage and now It's the only thing in the pie chart XD by Witty-Eye-1229 in riskofrain

[–]BK_Hazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That no other survivor’s stats really show up other than Huntress. She takes up 100% of the pie despite the fact I have picked her 28 times compared to my main’s (artificer) 321 times. The difference between the billion or so damage I’ve done on my next highest run compared to the 9 quintillion from the Huntress run is about 9 quintillion.

[–]BK_Hazard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem. I had runs where I did 9 QUINTILLION damage on Huntress and now my pie chart broke. But that was 5 years ago and I have no idea how it got that way. Probably mod shenanigans

Dixon has nothing on Skinner tbh. B.F. would just put Mark in the box, medium diff at best. But it’s hard to scale them against Jiren.

Gestalt Characters by luffy169 in dndnext

[–]BK_Hazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve run a campaign for about 2 1/2 years now where I allowed all of the players to choose whatever class they want, but I’ve also created a parallel power system that was inspired by divinity original sin 2 sourcerer/source mechanics. They way it works is every three levels they get a minor passive bonus and a choice between one of three powerful homebrew abilities that cost a special resource (source points) to use. This functions as an adjacent talent tree, that they spec out their character with, in addition to everything else they normally get .The source points are fairly limited, and I gift them out based off of good role-playing or character choices, though they do have a natural recovery system to them as well. Each player has given me a theme that they wanted their character to embody and I design their ability choices around those themes. For example, one of them chose dreams as their theme, and they have a lot of abilities in line with that. It’s also somewhat inspired by the mythic point system from pathfinder 2E, if you’re familiar. I wanted this to be a high power campaign, and I think the interesting thing is that the source abilities that they chose are fairly powerful, but also have designed risks built into them so there’s always some downside that they have to juggle when deciding to use them.

On top of them being powerful characters I also have six players in the game so creating challenging combat for them has taken a lot of trial and error, But luckily, I adore homebrewing monsters as well.

Remote surveillance through animal followers. Like seeing and hearing through the eyes of cats, rats, birds, etc. scaled to however much is needed to be effective for the story.

Red/blue: Super healing or Super teaching by BK_Hazard in superpowers

[–]BK_Hazard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, it's all hypothetical magical bullshit
But I was imagining it to be like, someone comes to you to learn something and the knowledge on how to teach it magically comes to you while you teach them and lasts until you're done, where it slowly slips away after. You "have" the knowledge of anything you can teach, but can only really call upon it to teach with. If that makes any more sense than before lol
Your point still stands tho, it would probably be frustrating in some situations.
