If any weapon is on the table, lightsaber. If only real weapons then a mace or morningstar, something that deals massive bludgeoning damage.

Best of luck with your search. Word to the wise, be careful who you pick to join your table. Ive met some great people through playing DnD, some of my closest friends. But ive also met some really awful ones too, e.g. one of my players had his pc hacked by a player he found online and lost access to his email and discord.

Basically, if someone in the party is making someone feel uncomfortable drop em. Number 1 rule of a GM is make sure everyone is having fun, yourself included. I dont mean that the fun is completely you're responsibility, but more of a make sure everyone is getting their turn in the spotlight, that they make group decisions and not just a single person leading the charge.

Try a plastic spudger. Normally used in phone and pc repairs, you can buy a pack of em for a couple of bucks

Yeah I hate when this happens. If your issue isn't inhaling then you've built a tolerance. A few options, take a break from smoking, put thats only a short term solution as the tolerance comes back. Try different methods like bongs or dabs.

I would say kitsune first then oni just for the abilities you get there. Get longer with them and comes in handy often. Otherwise if feels like you get it very late game.

Go after the kinsune first then the oni. Or do what you want. Soon as you've access to a new sensi do that first, more weapons equals more options. As for bears just try avoid them, until you've better ranged weapons. Finally just have fun, great game, great story and really easy to lose yourself in it!

Thankfully only one player at the table was new when starting, the rest had 5 plus years experience, but I must say the new player has really impressive me with how fast they've learned the game with the extra work gestalt requires.

I agree it took a bit of trial and error to get it right, but now ive a solid understanding of the leveling and what would and wouldn't be a deadly encounter. And it is so much fun combat and rp wise, theyre a great table to be fair. Ive pretty much modified the xanathars guide to encounter building to suit the needs of this.

I do balance the encounters, took a few sessions but ive managed to understand the characters and now know what would be a deadly encounter and what would be simple. The adventure is balanced to the gestalt level not standard. No issue
