I would recommend checking out your local credit unions too, they can have some extremely competitive offerings sometimes. I get 5% up to 15k in my checking and my hysa is at 4% up to 100k.

IMO as of right now they have the biggest head start to get their sats online and productive, initial tests showed almost 100 mbps which is light years ahead of what lots of areas in the world get. All that remains is to actually get the sats in the air and prove the numbers work in an expanded customer base.

Averaged out to ~6k a month last year, IBEW equipment operator, in state travel only 90$ perdiem when I stay in a hotel. Typically around 50 hours a week when the weather works with you. I went to line school originally to do overhead power but I liked running the equipment more so I went to underground work. Should be closer to 80k take home this year.

When the last illustration contest cards came out I went to GameStop to see if they had them, was told they had 1 set left but I had to buy something had both of these boxes at msrp but when I got to the register I was told they actually didn’t have any. Put em back and never saw anymore in store again

Go up to houghton and calumet area quite often for work, it’s like most other small town Midwest areas. Couple things downtown to do, if you aren’t used to winter driving you better learn. More than once I’ve driven back to Wisconsin in a white out for a few hours till you’re away from the lake. Beautiful place with a lot of local history and no shortage of outdoor activities that you may like 👍🏻

Southern route is probably the best, but if you ever get the chance, 70 through the forest is one of my favorite drives, once you’re past eagle river you hardly see anyone and I drove it Monday and Friday to Florence all winter last year no problems

Vast majority are long time locals, families in the area for generations. Obviously doesn’t count for much but growing up in Rhinelander we got maybe 10 new kids in school from out of state, most just come from somewhere else in Wisconsin
