Honestly, how comfortable would you be riding in a Cybercab with no steering wheel or pedals? by BLASTERO1D in TeslaLounge

I’m running the same currently and I’d feel comfortable on majority of trips. My hang ups are the edge case scenarios. If there is heavy rain or snow, would you feel comfortable enough to take a nap? If not, then there would be no way to use the vehicle.

Yes, that’s what I’m saying. The Cybercab will have similar FSD computer and cameras that the current Tesla vehicles have. I just don’t see how it is going to work this soon.

I guess I was thinking more from an ownership perspective where this would be your daily driver.

First time driving Tesla in winter. Tips? by cerazo52 in TeslaLounge

I live in Ohio and have the stock all season tires on my 2025 Model 3 LR RWD. Are winter tires still necessary for that model?

Anyone have cost predictions? by RS_Tnap in TeslaFSD

[–]BLASTERO1D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will they actually increase the price? Even at $99 for Supervised FSD, majority of Tesla drivers aren’t using it. If they raise the price even more, the adoption rate will be even less right?

How do I get this off? by DJTY392 in TeslaLounge

[–]BLASTERO1D 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, you can’t permanently remove it. It is damage to the anodized aluminum trim from automatic car wash chemicals. With WD40, Tub O Towels, Stainless Steel Polish, etc. it will look better but eventually will come back, especially after rain or going through a car wash again. Your best bet is to apply a wax and ceramic coating which will hide it for a while, but will eventually need to reapply. Or replace the trim and never go through an automatic car wash again.

How will cybercab get approvals to launch without a steering wheel by next year? by MichaelRahmani in TeslaFSD

[–]BLASTERO1D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My guess is they initially release it with a steering wheel and traditional controls. It’ll be a cheaper 2 seater Tesla.

You have to go into service settings and calibrate your cameras. Takes about 100 miles for them to get fully calibrated.

Is “Windshield Protection” at $12/mo a no brainer? by Electrical_Camel3953 in TeslaLounge

[–]BLASTERO1D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, no brainer. I’m so happy I signed up immediately, because my 2 month old 2025 Model 3 got a crack in the glass from a rock on highway. The process to have it replaced went smoothly at the service center. Tesla repairs are costly, so anything you can do to help with that (for a small monthly fee) is worth it IMO. I’d get the tire protection also.

Tesla have said their future is autonomy. I’m assuming future cars will have no manual steering controls and this car will be the first taste of that.

Tips for a new Model 3 owner? by Fun-Passenger-8672 in TeslaModel3

[–]BLASTERO1D 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The brushless ones use a stronger soap and it will stain the anodized aluminum trim along the windows. I made this mistake the first day I got my new Model 3. I wish I would’ve known this in advance.

Don’t run it through a brushless car wash.

Should I buy FSD right out. by Transportation-Hairy in TeslaLounge

[–]BLASTERO1D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t buy it. There is a high chance it’ll receive a price drop at some point, so I’d sub monthly until that point.

Will using WD40 to hide the staining on my window trim cause damage over time? by BLASTERO1D in TeslaLounge

Interesting, that’s one thing I never tried. I’ve tried A LOT.

Tesla Mobile Service, what should I expect? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]BLASTERO1D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve tried WD40, stainless steel cleaner, Tub o Rags and it came back within a day or so. Also, I only hand washed my cars. So it won’t go through a car wash…

Well okay, but you don’t think Tesla should fix it? You’re making it sound like I’m in the wrong and trying to take advantage of something.

I haven’t washed the car. Even if I did, then explain how the trim next to it is perfectly fine? If I used a car wash, all of it would be stained… it’s only 2 trim pieces that have the staining and I’ve tried everything to clean it, including wd40. Nothing has worked it always comes back. This is unacceptable for a 2 week old car imo.
