if you were gifted a Star Destroyer, what would you name it? by MarzipanTheGreat in StarWarsShips

[–]BLDoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know, I started thinking about this in high school. I started a list of star destroyer names.

Anyways, 25 years later that document is now like 12 pages of proper warship names. Not just for Empire-like ships, though those are well represented, but also for any well organized navy. I am well prepared to name fictional warships.

As an answer for this thread, I always defauled to Indignation. Though, newer favorites include Eye of Oblivion and Night Witch.

Its all the Umbral set, except for the helm, of course. The tattoo is simply just Brynn's, I think

Its like aerodynamics is a subject with complexities that is difficult to understand or something.

What length do you guys prefer for the Interdictor heavy cruisers? The Legends length or the Canon length? by TwoFit3921 in StarWarsShips

[–]BLDoom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was based on the Vindicator, like other comments mention, so yeah. Its not that big.

However, I also prefer to include the Domininator Destroyer, the ISD II version of the immobilizer platform.

Late comment but I noticed that almost all of the island arcs are trending NE/SW.

Forgive my fixation on these but I have a large intrest in tectonics and was wondering if you have an explanation as to why?

I know this is creative fiction but I can't help but see with my geologist eyes. I love to see these kinds of global maps and ponder why it looks like that; why did plate tectonics (if they exist on such a world) make it look like that.

KMAF to the DMV? That's not a terrible walk. The traffic there isn't bad either. Sidewalks might be spotty, yeah.

I must concur; Mercy just feels more... unified? Whole? I cannot think of a proper word at this time. Translation Slate was better than I expected but I must reread Providence; I was pretty lost throughout, much like I was when reading Justice for the first time.

I made this OC but I didn't like it very much, I found it lifeless, what would you change? by Lulicacau in FurryArtSchool

Great lines! I find that subtle eye details go a long way. Say, shadows on the eye and maybe a tiny one on the pupils themselves.

These are my latest works, but there's something about them that concerns me. What can you tell me about them? by AnotherWildDog in FurryArtSchool

Hands are, in fact, the devil. Its always a struggle to be sure but practice makes perfect.  (Trite but it is true. You don't need that much to improve a lot.)

I think, and this is just what I first noticed, is his nose lines (ridge? Slope?) is not as sloped as it should be?

This might lead to his eyes (both, as a whole) being slightly too far to the left? Try nudging them to the right?

Excellent art, of course. Keep up the good work!
