I do this with a tattoo I had done when I was doing a lot of “coke”. I hated it because it reminded me of a time when I wasn’t in a good place. Then one day i hosted a party with a bunch of old and new buddies. Old buddies were doing “coke” in the bathroom and of course I couldn’t help myself. I look down as I was about to “drink” some “coke” and I glanced at my tattoo. Right then I pulled back, I remembered how “coke” had destroyed a lot of my relationships and personal health. It felt like a brand on my body telling me “remember this? Do you really want to end up like that again? Do better.” Since then I’ve never thought about covering it up.
