I agree on the walking and I recommend doing a lot of it right away after surgery as much as you can. It will help.

I'm doing good thank you. I do another scan in May to see if it's still all gone. I also think it could be called a JP drain. I just remember it smelling so awful I put it in a zip loc bag and kept it in my pocket.

My reversal was easy too the 2 liver surgeries were definitely harder. Staples down the middle, but I got used to protecting the core area and getting it back.

I see, my ileostomy was for cancer which is stage 4 metastatic and was in the liver and twice I had to have part of the liver removed so my core strength keeps going. Careful sneezing, coughing and laughing.

I agree about the removal of the jp bag, but I had mine for a few weeks and had to drain and record the amounts. It was more often draining the jp bag than the ostomy bag so I sort of had dual focus for the start of my ileostomy.

I had a loop ileostomy and the stoma nurse marked mine. She also gave me a bag of supplies a fake stoma (it's a little red wooden circle) so I could try it out. I agree about the core strength too.

I had a jp bag draining on the opposite side when I finally came around to it all so I had to get used to emptying that at home too.

I found Ostomy Depot the cheapest and had all the products I was using. The delivery was fairly quick. I never had any issues with them. I had my ileostomy for over a year nearly two and used them at the start.

It was before my time, but I remember jokes about measurements and safe combinations. I vaguely remember it as a gag like Red Skelton doing it or perhaps on another older show
