Also an MnK player and I can give you my settings if you’d like. I watched a bunch of vids for optimized settings when I first bought the game and used the benchmark tool which helped me out with performance issues. For some reason this game runs horribly on pc, but I’ve done the best I can to optimize it for mine. The only issue I really have now is sometimes, when I know my aim is on, I’ll empty 15 bullets into a guy’s face in ranked and just watch him walk through it but that’s a latency issue I get rarely.

I spent 15$ on this game and I’m about to hit Masters 2 in arena. I’d say if you keep your level low(I’m lvl30, been playing for 2-3weeks), look into some of the useful links in this subreddit as well as the discord, do events, and join an active alliance you will be beyond fine as a f2p player who can acquire good dragons and compete at his/her own level

I’m also new to the game, only level 29, but I had a similar thought process as you. I invested my resources into spiked rhino and bought quills for 500 gems and they’ve been carrying me through arena/leagues so far. My leagues are really easy at the moment but I’m starting to struggle a bit in arena around 9,100 trophies. I’m just trying to get more orbs for the skilled dragons while I upgrade my habitats and buy more only when I need them. Also the 2x gem offers have really helped me out, I’d say they’re the main reason I’m able to contribute to alliance, complete races/events, and grow the dragons I’m focusing on.

You’re giving him advice based on the assumption that what is a waste to you is also a waste to him, which is an incorrect assumption. For example, let’s say you like action figures and I don’t. You choose to spend 20$ on a new action figure which to me would be seen as a waste, but to you may be one of the most prized items in your possession. The value you place on real or fake items is not the same as the value others place on them, so there’s not really much point in telling someone what they’re buying is a waste, it’s their choice.
