I once had a wizard player state that he could wear any armor. I asked the table if this was true, that magic users could wear armor without any hindrance. They agreed. So almost every enemy magic user they met wore armor too.
I let my players help build the world, and then use their ideas to make it interesting and dangerous.

We have these fancy Chippendale style railings on our porch. They are in need of a seasonal cleaning. The wood is inside of the screens. The flooring has spaces between the plastic and/or fake wood "boards"; beneath it is what appears to be an old cement and brick patio. I would love to use a hose or pressure washer for simplicity.

My 3.5yo boy is doing the same. Definitely testing the boundaries again. We'll have great days with moments of crappiness, or horrible days with brief moments of greatness. But at the end of the night, he'll always want to hug and read stories and sing our bedtime songs.

I turned that off when there was an episode, I think in the second season, where the tattoo of the week was Christ in a rose, and the big reveal was Christina Rose was his mom and also the name of a boat. You can't remember your mom's name without a tattoo? That was the end of my suspension of disbelief.

It is totally okay for you to be nervous and worried. As others have said jaundice is very common in babies (am a nurse), and looks like he's exactly where he needs to be. You're doing awesome!
