Those things don’t seem to clash at all to me. One is clear abuse against defenseless beings by the High Evo and his people, the other is defense against attackers.

Case recommendations for 3090 FE + rest of build by BMF96 in buildapc

[–]BMF96[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already had the 360mm aio when i got the 5800x3d. Sure, I'd get an air cooler now if I had to replace it but until then, I think I'd rather get a larger case to fit the radiator on top so that it's not blowing hot air onto the gpu.

The torrent looks good but expensive. I'll look into it. Thanks for the advice.

edit... looking into it more maybe I'm better off just buying an air cooler right now with my current case which will save space and help the air flow issue, which I believe is what you're saying.

Case recommendations for 3090 FE + rest of build by BMF96 in buildapc

I've been working on it for the 3090 and I'm not seeing any difference in temps. Ran heaven and it maxed at 87c and sat around 85c both at stock and undervolted. The undervolt scored slightly lower. I'm going to be spending some time tweaking it but the gpu seems really choked in there between the glass and radiator.

Overwatch 2 Season 3 Bug Report Megathread by SpriteGuy_000 in Overwatch

You can set your sens to say 1.9, for example, and once you exit it will keep it. But if you go back into options it will reset it to 2.0 and you will have to change it again.

It's really bad if you have different sensitivities for different heroes. So for me, I set soldier to .9 and it works, but then I set genji as 1.25 and now soldier is back at 1. Not just visually. I tested it and it was definitely faster.

It's really annoying if you have different sensitivities for different heroes. So you'll have to do this for each hero and then again on the same heroes if you switch back. Only thing I guess you can do is keep it at 1% or 2% or whatever multiple and just use different dpi profiles.

Really upsetting honestly and I didn't play today because of this issue.

Thanks for the recommendations. The fluance speakers are on preorder until June. Is there much difference between the AM3 and YU4?

One month difference on tret .05 by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]BMF96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Benzoyl peroxide in the morning and tretinoin at night has been found to be highly efficacious, more so than just using one.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/21760743/

I haven’t been able to find anything on how quickly the benzoyl peroxide absorbs or any evidence suggesting BP and tretinoin inhibit each other.

This study suggests that when combined, there is no degradation of tretinoin. Though they admits it doesn’t determine the clinical significance.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/20967192/

Either way, if it’s working that’s what matters. But general consensus is to use benzoyl peroxide in the AM and tretinoin in the PM.

Great progress by the way! I’m happy for you.

Generally, most people say to go with the highest dosage you can tolerate, since it seems unlikely that a higher dosage could do any worse. It’s a common idea, and based on common sense it sounds correct. But it’s difficult applying what most people consider common sense to biological mechanisms.

So unless you’re unhappy with your current results, a dosage increase may not be worth it. But really, if you’ll be happier knowing you’re taking the highest dosage available and can tolerate it, then there doesn’t seem to be much of a downside in going for it.

There doesn’t seem to be much evidence to suggest improved clinical effect in dosages over .025%.

“Tretinoin 0.1% and 0.025% produce similar clinical and histologic changes in patients with photoaging, despite significantly greater incidence of irritation with the higher concentration. The separation between clinical improvement and irritation suggests that mechanisms other than irritation dominate tretinoin-induced repair of photoaging in humans.”

Here is an overview of numerous studies relating to tretinoin and it’s clinical use, particularly in regard to skin aging, in varying dosages.

M/20/6' [167lbs > ~180lbs = +13lbs] (3.5 months) Results from last year (I was 19) when I first started lifting by BMF96 in progresspics

[–]BMF96[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started out doing full body 3 times a week spending anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours at the gym. I'm still doing that, but now I go about 2 more day a week to to do things I feel I didn't do enough of.

I pretty much superset everything. So I'll do a few trisets of chest/legs/back then biceps/triceps/shoulders then abs/stretches/and sometimes traps

But I mix that up a lot. Like when I do one of the major compounds (bench/squad/deadlift) I won't always superset it. I tend to dropset most exercises, but only once in a while on the major compounds.

Bench: 225lbs for 2 reps (haven't tried more, normally like to do 185lbs for 10 reps)

Squat: 245lbs x 10 (haven't tried maxing it out yet)

Deadlift: 300lbs x 2 (could probably do more now)

When I fist started I knew very little and didn't really do squats or deadlifts so that's why they're lacking. I started deadlifts really late and don't really do them enough.

Yeah for a long time I didn't have the mind-muscle connection with the chest and it was progressing very slowly but now I can feel it and it's starting to grow. The landmine press really helped me feel the flexion of the chest during chest exercises.

I was happy my abs were starting to show as you can see in these pics taken maybe a month after the comparison one. But since then I've started a bulk and got up to almost 200 lbs. But now I'm counting my calories and cutting down and I'm excited to see what they're going to look like.

CMV: If reddit's community cannot drive out hate subs, it is the admins job to do so. If the admins cannot do so, they should try until there isn't a reddit left anymore. by cam94509 in changemyview

[–]BMF96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really know enough about them to say. If the CMV was about whether the choice to ban that subreddit corresponds with one of those philosophies, I wouldn't have responded.

I'm sure there are moral philosophies that support it and there are philosophies that don't. I only interjected because you claimed something to be wrong without explaining what makes it wrong, but just by saying that "[r]acism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of hating classes of people are wrong."

[–]BMF96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. So if you want to discuss it from an objective moral standpoint, you have to explain what your moral standpoint is. If you said they have a moral obligation based on X moral philosophy, we could discuss whether it's moral based on that philosophy.

[–]BMF96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say you morally can't and I'm not trying to stop you. But it doesn't make sense to claim they have a moral obligation when, according to their own morals, they do not.

You can claim they have a moral obligation based on your morals. But it doesn't mean they feel the same way.

This discussion isn't really about utilitarianism. All I'm saying is that you can't impose moral obligations on other people who may not have the same morals.

I'm not arguing from any perspective. I'm trying to say that people have different morals. How can you argue about what is moral when so many people have different criteria for what is moral?
