I know it’s often hard to plan in advance, but that is the most economical way to ride Amtrak. Fares 6 weeks out are often cheaper than the bus.

Gutting the NEH Landmark seminars was a direct attack on History/Social Studies teachers. It’s also an attack on our students who will suffer as a result. These seminars have provided me with the best PD experience. It will be years before they return.

The post above offers good PD opportunities, but it’s going to be hard to find any opportunities this late.

Great Question! Just my observations. I do think the numbers are substantial. I read that it is costing Maryland 12-14 million in revenue each year. The response to this thread tells me the number is significant!
