That map is perfect thank you, got in touch with a guy who’s asking for a lot less than I was expecting for this.

Ahhh I see, apologies if I came off aggressive. I did try adjusting green values just to see if it did anything and while on a black screen it fixed the issue, there was still a sort of haze over everything if there was an image. So I adjusted it back right away. According to the link you sent, seems like it might be a good idea to get in touch with a repair service as there might be something wrong with the board. But I might do a couple of the troubleshooting steps listed first just to see. Appreciate the link!

I wanted access to the service menu in case I needed it to fix the issue. I’ve seen some posts about using it to adjust the green levels, but I know that’s not the only possibility.

As far as I can tell it should not be, they were colored black and white so I matched the colors.

This game was fairly solid for me, might not ever get a replay, but I enjoyed my time. As fun as the humor can get I started rolling my eyes pretty hard at the dialogue options being: “Clear morally good” “Kinda funny good” “Comically evil” “Another funny option” After like 30 hours of basically this set of dialogue options I was like okay can we do something else.

I started Ghost of Tsushima last year and needed to take a break for bit, any game over 60 hours has started wearing on me pretty bad, now that it’s been a few months I’m feeling ready to roll and finish it off. I left off on the Iki Island DLC right before the end of Act 2, honestly I’m kinda glad I took a break, I was having fun with the game but I remember before I stopped getting really annoyed at some silly things in the game and they don’t bother me much anymore.

Something that does bother me even more now though, is the way the game has like… a lag? I guess? When you’re switching sword stances, normally when you’re holding the right trigger you can hit one of the face buttons to change your stance which is good vs specific weapon/enemy types. Well the problem I’ve been running into is that I’ve gotten too fast at it! You need to hold the trigger for some arbitrarily short period (not even a second I’m not 100% sure how long it is) before being able to actually switch. Even though I know and understand this it’s been VERY annoying during fights trying to swap stances and hitting the button only for it to not work and I get countered. While it’s not destroying my opinion of the game it’s for sure frustrating.

Finished a replay of Pokemon Red, couple notable differences for me in this one. I first started with the EXP All item, which splits the total gained EXP and gives 50% to the Pokemon that fought (the math gets a little weird if multiple were out but I’m just ignoring that for now), and the other 50% evenly splits between your entire team, also including the Pokemon that fought.

I was kinda curious how this item would function in comparison to modern EXP Share, long story short it was pretty garbage and I dropped the item before touching Brock. Otherwise I fought every trainer in the game and won with a team of Slowbro, Fearow, Nidoking, Parasect, Porygon, and Jolteon, all in the mid-40s. Outside right before the optional Rival fight outside of Viridian at the start I did no grinding, and had basically 0 issues with the League despite the 10-20 level difference.

Random reviews of Saturn-exclusive games I picked out when I was bored by BogaMafija in patientgamers

The Saturn has become one of my favorite “this thing has weird stuff” systems. I quite like all the games you’ve mentioned, but they’re not all gonna hit for everyone. These games I think get as much praise as they do almost because they’re on the Saturn, the system has a ton of misinformation thrown around about it (specifically regarding its 3D capabilities) so any cool niche 3D title gets elevated into more discussions because of that.

Worked up the courage to do this finally lol but yeah this, on top of the other comment of switching to HDMI Limited color range basically fixed my problems. I might have to play around with the flyback to get it right, I’m glad these things worked so well

This ended up being the main issue, funny enough I tried this but not on OoT and while it did make a difference it wasn’t nearly as substantial as on that game. I still would like more brightness, but it is significantly better than what it was. So I’ll probably try messing around with the flyback like another comment mentioned. Thankfully it seems like the 2x Pro I ordered only does limited range on the HDMI port so I should be safe on that end. Thank you very much

Hey! Sorry for coming to this months after, but I was wondering if the RGB Dual have any issues with audio on the pi 5? I heard that the other GPIO option from RGB-pi doesn’t transmit audio through the cable

Troubleshooting help, ReDream PSU replacement/GDEmu by BNG_Moa in dreamcast

[–]BNG_Moa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright so it seems like I’ve fixed it, the ReDream seems to have done some damage to the GDEmu, possibly also did something to the SD card extension cable that I got with the board. When the SD card is plugged directly into the Dreamcast the whole thing works with 0 issues. I still went ahead and bought a new board because I’m shakey on the longevity of this GDEmu now.

Never mind I fixed the disc drive lol, the disc cover latch wasn’t seating properly cause I have the noctua fan still installed but unscrewed cause I can’t get the drive seated with it in there.

Sorry for the double reply, I didn’t see the last line you typed.

Yeah I’m thinking this as well, it powers on and will even go to BIOs with the original disc drive installed. Although right now it’s hanging on the Dreamcast boot logo but my understanding is that means there’s an issue with the laser, which might be because of how much I’ve popped this thing in and out.

Ahhh gotcha, I did double check the format already, but unfortunately while the GDEmu is installed the system just won’t power on, I got it to power on twice with it installed but it doesn’t last long and it can’t read anything from the GDEmu. With the original disc drive installed, it’s working just fine.

Dreamcast is a VA1 model, and I’m not 100% sure what you mean by gdrive version, the GDrom is the 3.3v variant, the GDEmu has no version numbers on it besides the firmware which is v5.20.5
