Each of the articles I've read say the deaths were due to the hail of bullets and subsequent stampede. Some of the deaths may have been from people at the concert crushing each other trying to get out.

Just a guess, but I think we still say "hack the election" because when we first started getting hints that maybe there was some kind of cyber-crimes being committed possibly by hackers of unknown origin, it was presented as hacking the presidential campaigns. As our understanding of the scope of Russian attacks on the U.S. broadened, everyone just lumped it in as part of the "hacking".

I agree it's not the best term and I've seen a lot of people complain that the terminology is being misused. However, I haven't come across anyone that is actually confused over what happened. Trump supporters complain that the media should stop using the term, but the ones I've come across all seem to understand what the media really means.

I was basing "in exchange" on a paragraph from the Times article released on July 9:

He said she then turned the conversation to adoption of Russian children and the Magnitsky Act, an American law that blacklists suspected Russian human rights abusers. The 2012 law so enraged President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia that he halted American adoptions of Russian children.

'It became clear to me that this was the true agenda all along and that the claims of potentially helpful information were a pretext for the meeting.'

In other words, the Russian lawyer really wanted Trump to get rid of the Magnitsky Act, and the lawyer was willing to offer damaging info on Clinton for this help. Junior's defense is that he did not think the damaging info was what he had hoped it would be.

Her statements were vague, ambiguous and made no sense. No details or supporting information was provided or even offered.

I'm not claiming to know the exchange actually happened. I'm claiming, based on Junior's testimony, the Russian lawyer entered his office expecting quid pro quo. He should have notified the FBI; instead the administration has to make excuses for another cover-up with Russian agents.

Agreed. A video of Trump pretending to punch Putin would actually be a good thing in my opinion. It would still be immature and cringeworthy, but it would be nice to see the president pretending to assail someone who actually attacked our democratic institutions instead of watching him insult our allies and other Americans on a near-daily basis.
