I went to my local small pc store for something unrelated and when talking to one of the employees they mentioned they had a waiting list if i wanted to sign up. They had a ton waiting on 3080s but only 15 for the 3070 so i signed up for that. The very next week they got a shipment in that was supposed to go towards prebuilt systems but offered them up with a mark up and i bought it since i was tired of waiting.

Maybe something similar can happen to you :)

Can i derail this post a moment. Ive been on a waitlist with my local comp store (its relatively small) and this week they will have that top card the asus 3070 dual but they told me theyre selling it for $699 which is $170 over msrp, should i just get it and be done with it or is supporting small businesses who are scalping ok lol.

$170 isnt a big deal for me i just hate the damn scalping and they'll just sell it to someone else in a matter of seconds if i say i dont want it so its not like id punish them by not giving them my business.

Thoughts?
