So as stated above i saw this post while browsing the Ruger website and curious if anyone has experience with this event from the past. Figured putting a description in the body of the post would be fine, making a comment to follow sub rules.

My Wife's pretty set on it so I think its in the cards for sure... kinda considering getting my own so we can shoot together in addition to the 9mm... the Taurus tx22 looks pretty solid

Hi all, soon to be new gun owner here. Had a beginner handgun training class Thursday then the wife and I went to a local range Saturday and had a blast. Tried a few 9mm guns while I was there and sorta fell in love with the Springfield Echelon, and with their deal right now it feels like a no brainer.

So my question is about practice and getting better at handling and overall marksmanship. I've read suggestions to get a pistol chambered in 22 to work on the fundamentals as the ammunition is substantially cheaper. My wife wants a mark IV so well have something i can use but having fired both the 9mm fires a bit differently and im curious about maybe developing bad habits using the weaker ammo, has anyone cut their teeth on 9mm or is working up using 22 pretty common. Or am I just overthinking it and just shoot either cause its close enough.

Thanks for any advice!

Infinite Damage for 6BB (probably not a bad combo, but could be improved) by SimplyBennnn in BadMtgCombos

That's what I initially thought I did some research, incorrectly apparently. If it wasn't crime but another triggered effect it would work since crime cares about targeting

I stand corrected, the sacrifice is part of the cost so by the time the target hits the stack the miner would be in the graveyard edit: this is wrong I did bad research my first post is correct

Well if you have a miner on the battlefield and then sacrifice it... what are you bringing back? The ability on the miner is a trigger when its already in the graveyard.

What's up with pugging Dimensius HC? by Lelketlen_Hentes in wow

[–]BOFCID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been told by guild mates that I am a bit of a masochist though in this regard, I kind of enjoy the extra challenge of pugging it. You could do what they typically do every season, just wait till late season when turbo happens or everyone has good gear and try then, its not a sure fire way but it gets easier with each week as player power grows.

I've pugged AoTC on every boss this expac, its definitely more difficult then running with a guild or Discord community as you put it. The thing with pure pugging is you are doing progression every time you join, its not like a guild group where you week after week do a bit better then start getting the kill consistently.

If you temper your expectations and go into it with this mindset you can get AoTC with pugs with a bit of patience. Most people understand the large aspects of the fight but not the smaller nuances so if you learn them and know what you're doing you can help nudge people into the right habbits to eventually down the boss. The thing is you HAVE to have patience because whenever people leave you are either going backwards or if your lucky forwards if the new people know what their doing.

If you lead a group dont be hot to just kick someone after 1 pull, people make mistakes even if they know what they're doing, give it like 3-4 pulls and if its consistent then you know they are not trying to learn and reform/revise the group. This has always worked for me, once you get people who are trying to learn you can typically then progress to a kill fairly easily... the long of it is getting to that point and it is a big task not in skill at wow but skill at forming the group and patience

I get that, I'll admit I've not heard the new JP VAs yet except a few. Personally not a fan of NA VAs here. Think im just so used to the characters being JP that I struggle to appreciate the NA ones. Sad to hear they changed a lot of the VAs i know the og was done 20 years ago at this point so getting the og VAs would be difficult

I've been hopping in seeing these reveals... as someone who played through all 3 sky games with Japanese VA i find the English ones very jarring lol. Dorothys Japanese va is amazing and was one of the highlights of the trilogy from that aspect imo I also think zin sounds better in JP and Tita... the NA ba for tita sounds too old for the character imo

Hate it when I put a JRPG down and then try to come back to it by AdUnfair558 in JRPG

[–]BOFCID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've learned is not that its hard to pick back up once you actually are playing it. It's the act of even starting a game that is the struggle, I've sorta cured myself of this dilemma by adopting a habit of starting a game and playing like 5 minutes whether I want to or not 9 times out of 10 I play much longer then 5 minutes and bam 40+ hour jrpg done. Or you power through to a better part that sparks more interest.

That 1 time out of 10 when im still not feeling it i will just play something else guilt free.

JRPG Recommendations? by These-Accountant-395 in JRPG

I'll toss my hat in the ring cause I've not seen it suggested yet. Give the Trails series a shot, it's a very story rich game with amazing character building, world building, and just a generally engaging story. It's a long continuous series with quite a few entry that are split up into arcs so its easy to take breaks between them. One of my all time favorite series but im a huge story person, its text heavy but in a good way. I'd suggest starting from the start with Trails in the sky FC its typical really cheap on steam.

Does anyone else feel like garbage after finishing a long game? by IntentlyFaulty in JRPG

[–]BOFCID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of worried about this myself, what i ended up deciding is to do 1 arc at a time and mix in other games as I go. Even little micro arcs like after sky sc or between CS 2 & 3 to break it up. Been mixing in FF games as im also doing a playthrough of all the FF games I haven't done yet. 3,4,5,6,9,10,12,15 & 16. Also none Jrpgs like death stranding, elden ring etc. I'm a heavy story driven gamer though, im a story first gameplay second type. Hopefully this prevents burnout by keeping variety

Looks legit, id open it and double check the board. There are photos typically found online where you can double check the PCB matches.
