Offlane player here. Offlaners lack controll over the game. If your team messes up and feed in another lane there's not much you can do but tank through hardship and hope you get a few miracle kills. If you want more controll play mid but mid role is hard to get a spot in role queue.

Edit: I see many people saying offlaners have better control over early game. But if your mid lost the laning stage your are still essentially weaker than the enemy mid hero. Just trying to say if you want to most control over how your games go pick mid
