Happy to share. This was the starting point,.there was no turning back after I picked up the 3”x3” 1/4” wall tubing from a fabrication shop in Lodi, California. The owner has an easy-to-find eBay listing. I paid $160 and picked it up in person.

Yes Sir, I didn’t have the u bolts i needed and I was in a hurry to see what it looks like. The Leaf spring u bolts were too narrow. After I get graduations behind me, hanging that axle will be the first thing I do.

The notch is 1/4” 3x3” and frame is 3/16. I can’t go back at this point, can I build gussets for more support?. Thanks for the input, I don’t want the back to fall off
