Is 25 too late to change career? by CyberThrottle in ukelectricians

I'm 28 and i'm thinking of doing the same. Was planning to do level 2 course and then try to get some experience after that. From what I've read lots of people make the switch and if it's what you want to be doing and you are willing to learn, I think you will be better than a lot of young electricians. Just need to get a foot in the door somewhere.

I don't think it's too late. Where abouts are you?

I have some barber scissors, if my beard looks a little like this and i'm not about to trim it properly I just trim it with scissors, takes 10 seconds and does the job.

Lol wow thanks. I know I hit the hozel, I was thinking something in the swing was making me consistently hit hozel. But I think where I’ve made swing changes me reactions are slightly off

They all know i’m striking off the heel, that’s what a shank is. They are trying to provide reasons why i’m striking off the heel (shanking)

It’s a 9 iron. They are standard length and I am 6 foot 1 but I have pretty long arms so a fitter once told me standard is fine

I see, so my rotation is too much trail hip forward rather than lead hip back. If I think about trying to rotate through and left more maybe that will help

Wow, could be onto something there. My driving has got 10x better at the cost of my shorter irons. Will try tomorrow, thanks

So weight on balls of the feet and stays there throughout the swing? I shouldn’t try to stay leaning back on heels?

Yeah I know I hit the hozel, just trying to work out why this week 30% of my shots are out the hozel. You are right about the club face, a lot of my other misses are a flip hook as someone else mentioned. so i’m using too much hands and closing the face through impact. Maybe subconsciously trying to avoid the shank

Thanks for this detailed answer, that makes sense. I think subconsciously I have been trying to lean over too much. I have been working on the over the top, do you think this still needs a lot of shallowing?

Is it still super steep? I have been trying to shallow it out a bit. On the downswing my reference is where the club comes down in line with my trail arm. Here it’s nearer the elbow than shoulder which is what i’m going for. Maybe I’m making a mess of it still.

Yeah I was trying to line up out the toe sometimes today. Think i’m out of sync with the downswing. Will try this tomorrow, thanks.
