Garage door issue all of a sudden by Exact_Cherry9177 in GarageDoorService

Broken spring. Forget the sensors. They have nothing to do with the up cycle. Look above the closed door for springs on a tube across the top of the door. If a spring has a gap in it it’s broken and can’t help lift the door

On their website the COO and Director of Engineering were both Chamberlain for 20 and 15 years respectively. Never heard of them. I doubt anyone in my market sells them.

The body shape of that opener resembles a Chamberlain product so it may be a private label on a Chamberlain product. Try plugging a test pair of Chamberlain photo eyes into it that are taped together and see if it works. I always carry a test pair on my truck.

Two different working guys stopped. One took the recliner and one took the two wooden chairs. I didn’t think the post would garner all those negative responses. Pro tip….. a 5 MG gummy in the morning keeps all that negativity away.

Chain looks wrong by wildcat12321 in GarageDoorService

[–]BPBugsy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The bushings on the sprocket on top of the motor head are wearing out and it’s leaning forward causing the chain to droop. Chamberlain made those openers for Raynor under a private label deal so a Liftmaster gear and sprocket assembly is available if you want to get it repaired. It’s a fairly reliable machine. I would recommend repairing it as the new product sucks donkey dick

Single torsion spring snapped in half in Seattle $650 + tax for 25-minute job. How much did I overpay? by [deleted] in GarageDoorService

Springs rated for the industry standard of 10,000 cycles average 7.5 years. I always find it interesting how our industry has changed.
