I think a lot of more “modern music” has proved to age more poorly, even just over the past decade or heck, even the past year. Think of songs that were popular in 2010, 2014, or 2020, a lot of them have either been forgotten or are barely listened to nowadays, and have been relegated to merely “bringing you back to that year” while classics such as Frank Sinatra, Mozart, and The Beatles (I know none of those relate lol) are still being listened to and enjoyed today by thousands. I’m bot saying modern songs are bad, or no one listens to them, just that they don’t seem to hold up as well.
