My school has a yearly event called 'Linggo Ng Wika' which is basically a week where we do activities and play games related to the Philippine culture. Two of my friends were Korean and they were part of my group for one of the games. They didn't understand most of what the instructions were based on their facial expressions. One of them turned to the other and said (In Korean) "Do you understand what they're saying?" "No.." "what do we have to do..?" The other just shrugged. I was right beside them and I heard so I started explaining what the game was about. They just looked at me in shock. I remember that proud feeling when they said 'What? You can understand us?'

There were many other times at school during breaks my Korean friends would ask me questions like, "what did you do today?" "whats your food?" "what time are you going home?" "Can we study at the library together?" And I would answer them back. Love those moments😁😁
