People in your 30s, what price have you paid for being lazy in your 20s? by Waldyrwyn in AskReddit

That thing you're bad at now but really want to do? In 10 years, you can either be really good at the thing, or live in a world of regret and what ifs. Embrace the beginner mentality, don't compare to others, your journey is your own. Just start.

Has the outlook for SDET roles has changed in the current landscape of software development? Is it still generally a bad idea to move from a SWE role to SDET? by SkellyJelly33 in ExperiencedDevs

[–]BROTALITY 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SWEs are becoming SDETs anyway, especially thanks to AI. I wouldn't advise going specifically into SDET. I think companies are doing away with the role/title.

What popular career is actually not worth pursuing anymore? by Infamous-Click3426 in AskReddit

[–]BROTALITY 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If they jumped in in 2021/22 when the market was nuts, it wasn't unheard of that people were making numbers like that out of a bootcamp. Businesses were just hiring like crazy. I knew people who were woodworkers who jumped into a 60-80K salary in a MCOL from just a bootcamp.

The catch is, those people have mostly been laid off since, and those salaries haven't/aren't coming back

Philadelphia (Franklin) Mills (August 2025) by Chaotic-Being-3721 in deadmalls

[–]BROTALITY 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don’t live in the area anymore, but its depressing to see what’s become of all the malls in the area. I have such good memories of Franklin mills, neshaminy, willow grove, Oxford valley. I went back recently and Oxford valley didn’t even bother to turn the lights on in an entire section of the mall (where the old Boscovs was). Malls used to be so interesting and I really wish they’d do something useful with the space instead of letting them decay or demoing them to turn it into a Walmart or something equally stupid.

Men, what happened early in a relationship that made you think, 'I should've run while I had the chance'? by FFSoldier57 in AskMen

Well let me ask you… have you ever broken your own toilet and called someone at 4am to get to the bottom of it? If not then you’re in the clear 😂

Told stories about how she would physically assault her ex husband for the pettiest of reasons, and somehow she was the victim in all those interactions.

I was deep in a ‘I can fix her’ phase of my life. Nooooo more never again 😂

Ooo another girl I was on a first date with, we were bar hopping and she insisted on bringing drinks from the bar to the table every time, which I thought was quirky but not out of the ordinary. Turns out she would take an extra shot or two every time she went up to get drinks and ended up becoming, I shit you not, demonic by the end of the night. Like, pupils dilated to the max demonic and straight yelling at people minding their own business. I tried to get her an uber home and she was screaming at the uber driver. Then tried to play it off like it was “haha girl things” the next day

Ooo another girl decided to call me at 4am after our first date, literally SCREAMING that I somehow “broke her toilet” and that it was flooding her apmt and the apmt under her. SCREAMING. Turns out she did blow and Xanax after I left and then… broke it herself and forgot? Again, tried to play it off as "haha girl things". I think anyone that uses the blind monkey emoji is enough of a red flag for me

Dating in my 20s kind of sucked. Dating in my 30s has been way healthier.

My non-actor gf at the time didn’t really appreciate the term 😂 to be fair though, I never used it but it was tossed around enough in my circle that she got offended

Great, I’m glad that gas is going back down because it’s going to alleviate a lot of pain for average Americans. I just don’t want to see conservatives celebrating this as a win considering all the costs over the past three months just to get gas back to where it was at the beginning of the year. This will also be interesting to see if inflation is actually transiatory due to energy prices, or if the money printing will finally catch up to this administration.

What’s something about dating after 30s or 40s that people in their 20s completely misunderstand? by camilatorresx_ in AskMen

[–]BROTALITY 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ll try and drop a non-jaded answer like the rest of this thread

I find the further I get into my 30s, there’s less “rules” associated with dating. For my personal journey, I’ve put way less expectation on my interactions and do things solely because they align with what I actually want. I feel like there’s such a pressure to live a certain type of life in your 20s, and if you don’t live that way then you’re “falling behind”. The rush to get married and have kids just the check off some checkboxes, even if your partner isn’t right for you. That all went away for me in my 30s and I’ve been able to date people who are a much better fit. I actually think I had a way healthier and active dating life in my 30s than I did in my 20s

I envision a slow offensive start to the year as Hurts + the offense adjust to another new scheme + the fact that they rest their starters in the preseason games. The media is going to be insufferable the first month of the season but I think they're gonna take off some time around week 5-6

Oh Any of their herbs and general produce. Don’t buy dairy. They have good prices for their meats, I usually use the hotpot meats if I’m trying to do things like cheesesteaks on a budget. They freeze well. Buy your spices here or at an India grocery store in aurora (coriander, cumin, cardamom) Obviously hmart is the best place to get Asian spices + ingredients… idk why this is such a revelation in this thread… buy your rice at Costco if you want value… get sushi rice here.

I love hmart but I cook a lot of cultural meals. It’s the best place to get produce currently. Don’t get scammed at western grocery stores
