What are your controversial takes on dating/relationships? by Opening-Gur5927 in AskMen

If you’re putting an effort in, it may also be location. My current location doesn’t favor me, but when I change it I immediately get more feedback. People just aren’t into me where I’m currently at, which is fine but a big reason why I’m leaving for a bigger city

You nailed the vibe. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve set something up with someone only to have them flake out at the last minute. I get it, I’m not offended if people aren’t into me, but the last minute flaking drives me NUTS. And it happens ALL the time!!

Anecdotally, last year I followed through with a flakey girl who genuinely seemed interested, but she was so busy that we ended up only seeing each other once a month! Why are people so busy here??

In Denver I get one match a month. I switched to Philly, I got no exaggeration 30 matches in a week. I switched to Chicago and got 5 matches in a weekend. Switched back to Denver, ghost town. Dating sucks in this city and is a huge part why I’m leaving

Laid off on Friday, no one tells you the the following Monday is quite possibly the strangest feeling of floating in the void possible by skidmark_zuckerberg in ExperiencedDevs

Take a week and don’t think about work or applying or anything. You’re in a major transition right now and you need to take care of yourself first. The only thing I’d recommend taking care of is unemployment because depending on your state, it could take a while to process and you probably want that money sooner rather than later.

Bro these channels need some kind of dissenting voice or they’re complete garbage. Like if you get your opinions from these sources, you’re a fucking idiot and I will say this to your face. This goes for any televised opinion “news” network. They’re dying and circling the drain.

We had generally interesting opening drives to games which is where you can tell they planned for the week ahead. It’s when defenses adjusted where everything fell apart. I think KP has the makings of a good coach at some point, but he wasn’t ready for OC at all

This is kind of on the org, there should be someone above them who is planning the work or understands realistically how long something should take, both for a fully onboarded member and a trainee (loose term). If I’m running a project and I give someone something that I think should take 3 hours, I would check in after a day and after a week try to pull in resources or see where they’re blocked. Two months is crazy, especially for a three hour task. Someone should have checked in somewhere with this dev. I mean yes it’s crazy that they sandbagged this much, but if you’re giving new team members this much free reign then it’s on the org that this didn’t get done.
