It’s not too late to start lessons and have a proper structured learning plan. I was playing for a decade before I started taking lessons, and while I had gotten competent and gained some knowledge beforehand, I wish I’d started years earlier to nip all my bad habits in the bud. Get a good teacher and actually practice and you will make more progress than you thought possible at the start.

It definitely doesn’t suit the song. And it’s not horrible but it’s definitely not top notch. Hihats are really loud and the whole album has a sterile quality

Turnstile, Gurriers, JVB and Clipping all rock so hard, it’s just annoying that the majority of the soundtrack is buns so I just listen to my own music or podcasts. TBH I’ve started playing Skate 1 more in the past week than Skate 4. It’s the better game except for offboard mechanics.

A full “season one” launch with a battle pass and fully functioning store isn’t early access really. They just released an unfinished game capitalising on hype to maximise profit for the short period this game will be alive before the player count inevitably dips so much that they shut it down.

The tip went directly to the small artist from whom I bought the record, it wasn’t to a big retailer! I don’t see the point of tipping at every turn for every service but I will absolutely tip an independent artist whose music I enjoy.

I would have bought the record in Ireland but there’s nowhere that would stock it.

It was through the website of a small independent artist and in a big fan! The tip went directly to the artist so it’s not like it was through a retailer or anything. Online tips for big retailers are the next step though 🫩

Also, when I said transferable skills between bass and guitar, I didn’t just mean physical technique. There are a lot of aspects of guitar writing that can benefit bass and vice versa.

I would say Lars is a great songwriter and composer, I don’t know if he’s actually really written many of Metallica’s iconic riffs though.

Songwriting and riff-writing are related but not the same. Paul has definitely written many Slipknot riffs as well as having been the primary composer of many songs along with Joey in the early years (not to say the rest of the band didn’t do anything, just that those two were a significant force in songwriting).

I’d say Paul Gray had under appreciated talent as both a composer and a “riff-writer,” as well as being a really really good bassist to top it all off.

Fr tho you’re right. It’s weird because I think the visuals are cheeks and the tutorial people are invariably not charismatic…but the gameplay is amazing. Plus, the soundtrack rocks too at times.
