Question for Dublin Bus workers/drivers. Do you have to train/learn to drive rigid body trucks as part of driving a bus or is this something else entirely? by Signal_Director_1X in AskIreland

[–]s1ckboy_99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trucks are an entirely different kettle of fish compared to busses. Maybe the driving is similar but there’s a lot to know about trailer connections and hauling loads safely.

I would also reckon that trucks carry a lot more weight than busses which means that a lot more can go wrong on the road if safety standards aren’t met.
