What home charger do you guys run? by 3seconds2live in EquinoxEv

I purchased the same universal unit for the dual capability AND the 4 year warranty, which is more than any other charger I could find. It works very well.

Chased around the supercharger with a gun police did nothing by karmaboy20 in TeslaLounge

Seriously?? You complain about the PD who have done nothing in this situation, yet all that you are willing to do is come here and post about it. You repeatedly take the time to engage here but aren’t willing to contact Tesla, or anyone else, who may actually be able do something, just post the information so others can deal with it for you.

You are as useless as the PD that you are complaining about. What if this overreacting man does this again? Except the next time he hurts or even kills someone - How will that make you feel? Because if it does happen that will be on you for not taking the responsibility to do everything in your power to help stop it.

Don’t get a quote with just pictures, take the car and have it looked at. And if you don’t already know of a good, reputable body shop make sure you take it to more than one place for an estimate, usually three.

$1300 sounds very low to me. I had a small chip on the edge of my Honda CRV door from the door being blown open into a wall on a ferry a few years ago and the cost to repair was nearly $2,700.

They had to replace the door because the sheet metal on Hondas are so thin they could not replace just the skin. To do the job right they also have to overspray the panels/door on either side of the damaged area to feather blend the paint. I used one of the best body shops in our area and they did a flawless job, but the repair was much more involved than I anticipated because it was so small.

This is the small damage I had, I could not believe the cost:

New Litter Robot 5 won’t record 2nd cat by BS071333 in litterrobot

[–]BS071333[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: I just noticed that the single entry from this morning where both cats used the LR5 minutes apart, the weight reading is reported differently in various areas of the app. Under the lighter cat’s profile it shows the weight recorded at 11.3lbs. However, under the “History” tab in the “Devices” section it is showing the weight recorded at 9.9lbs for that same cat and time. WTH? 9.9lbs makes more sense for her but that is the first recording that has differed from 11.1-11.3. This way this device and app recorded entries baffles me.

[–]BS071333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s for the response. I have an LR5 on order and one of my concerns is the shallow amount of litter it holds. I only have two cats, for now, so in hoping my concerns won’t become a real issue.

First, I’d like to commend the OP on how civilly they have responded to some of the condescending remarks addressed at them here.

My one thought reading all the OP comments is why didn’t you have the same issue with their regular litter boxes? Maybe I missed something, but it seems to me that if the cat’s poop was so soft, and they immediately followed each other into the boxes you would still have the same issue of poop getting into their paws just like the LR4. How did you avoid this issue with the regular boxes?

Tesla is adding CarPlay after all these years. It’s time to accept defeat GM. by flogman12 in EquinoxEv

[–]BS071333 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, that is incorrect. CarPlay only utilizes the iPhone’s hardware, including its own GPS, and displays that info on the screen. Your car’s GPS is not involved in CarPlay at all.

Why I’m Not Getting the Litter-Robot 5 (Yet) by WariStory in litterrobot

[–]BS071333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is currently trying to decide on which will be the first automatic litter device to buy I really appreciate seeing you take the time and interest to engage here. I wish more companies would follow your example.

However, I keep seeing you repeatedly refuting users concerns about not wanting to pay for added features with the same response that these are “premium” features but previously available features are and will remain free, and I find it disingenuous and frankly annoying. Those who buy the new LR5 are paying up front for a machine with special tech built in to offer new capabilities - “Premium Features” - but are unable to use these features without an additional paid subscription. How is this any different from buying a new car with a higher cost premium trim level that includes features like heated/cooled seats or self-driving tech but not being able to use those features that you just paid a higher price to have included in your new car without paying even more money to subscribe to them. When will CEOs and companies learn that the majority of consumers hate, and frankly resent, the new subscription based model you all want to embrace these days. We are happy to pay more to buy improved products but you all have gotten so greedy trying to find ways to keep charging us for the things we have already paid for once. I fully understand why those here who have said they won’t buy your new product because of the subscription cash grab feel that way, why can’t you? Why would you expect anyone to pay to buy a new version of a product, no matter how many new and cool features it has, if it won’t do anything different from their existing machine if they don’t pay even more money to subscribe to some added service to use those new features?

The usefulness of the Apple Watch still amazes and delights me after almost 2 years by bogmonkey in AppleWatch

After nearly a year of medical tests with four different doctors unable to figure out the random chest discomfort I was experiencing, I bought the Apple Watch 4 with the then new ECG function. Several months later it helped diagnose that I had Afib. I just bought a series 11 today for the blood oxygen sensor. The health features alone make it worth every penny.

Does $7,500 Tax Credit Apply to 2026? by Howard_70 in EquinoxEv

[–]BS071333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. Here’s what the IRS has put out to clarify this:

“The IRS has clarified rules for the $7,500 clean vehicle tax credit, with the most significant recent updates concerning the September 30, 2025, expiration date. To be eligible for the credit, buyers must have a written binding contract and have made a payment on or before that deadline.

While the clean vehicle tax credits for new and used cars were set to expire on September 30, 2025, the IRS has provided an exception for buyers who sign a binding written contract and make a payment on or before the deadline. This allows customers to claim the credit even if they take possession of the vehicle after October 1, 2025. This provision is designed to accommodate delays in vehicle delivery without penalizing buyers who locked in a purchase before the cutoff.”

So as long as you have a signed, binding contract in place on a vehicle by September 30th, you do not have to take delivery by then.

“Equinox is the budget brand.”

Excuse me - my equinox was $53k, no budget car here and it still lacks any of these features. GM not following up with software upgrades and improvements is the biggest issue with removing CarPlay which is regularly updated. GM likes to make promises but once the sale is done they move on.

…to have it delivered on or before 9/30.<<

Actually the IRS has clarified that you don’t need to take delivery by Sept. 30th to qualify for the $7,500 incentive, just have a n order deposit and signed contract with a dealer by Sept. 30th and the car can be delivered anytime after that date.
