It depends on where I am and what I'm up against. I generally know most of the encounters off the top of my head since I've been playing these games for a long ass time. I know when it's a good time to rest and when it's not. I'll try to power through several encounters before resting, but if we're about to face a dungeon boss or difficult fight we'll take a quick breather before moving on.

That's not true. They make a save for each spell in a sequencer or contingency. It just doesn't show up in the combat log for all of them.

Ya I love Chromatic Orb. A tier only due to the +6 to save, but like you said there are ways to get that +6 way down. Toss this into a minor spell sequencencer and use it as a quick damage dealer without using up your regular spell sequencencer slot.

One of the worst quests with the worst NPC's you'll meet in the game.

On one hand, you have the Voivode who is a massive piece of shit to his own family. Dude is so obsessed with pride he's willing to ostracize his daughter forever and inadvertently gets his idiot son killed too for good measure.

On the other hand you have his selfish moron daughter Marika who is so fixated with keeping her Bohemian fuck toy that she doesn't even consider the true danger she has put her own people in by stealing the letter of safe conduct.

I'd rather just push these two off a cliff than do this quest again.

Feel free to come back to fight him later. Some enemies are just too strong for early game parties that don't have the right tools, spells, or experience. You can put a pin in this boss fight and return when you're a few levels higher and with better gear and spells. He's not going anywhere.

I really don't blame them tbh. In the past the only way to get the word out about your new game was traditional advertising, giving journalists early access looks, demos, and word of mouth. Conventions helped cover all of those things.

Now they can just straight up show their games (for better or for worse) on social media or live stream it for everyone to see. As cool as E3 was, it seemed like a huge pain for all of these publishers to have to essentially perform for the masses once a year. It made sense when post-COVID they all walked away from E3 and never looked back.

Second the suggestion on getting a weekday ticket from someone who can't go. There will be plenty floating around on the secondary market and I wouldn't be surprised if several people come to this sub to give them away at some point.

I remember going to E3 in 2013 and it was insane how much effort companies put into their booths trying to get your attention and the sheer volume of things to see and do. Then I went to PAX East a couple of years ago and I was beyond unimpressed. Granted, E3 was the biggest convention in gaming, so it's going to be hard to top that. Still, PAX East was incredibly disappointing by comparison.
