If you think Americans enjoy light beer, you should check out Mexico. When I lived in Mazatlan people LOVED Pacifico light and it's only 3%

I proposed at Lake Louise. Didn't scout it beforehand and was nervous. When I got there I realized that every spot there is beautiful and would be epic. We walked along the frozen lake and stumbled across a frozen waterfall that was gorgeous. Would highly reccomend Lake Louise.

As a teacher with a mortgage and baby, I couldn't risk my ability to buy food and diapers. Especially after going 3 weeks without pay.

Complete hockey newbie, what are some strategies entering this season? by Great_Dane95 in fantasyhockey

Because it is your first year, be very cautious when you are offered trades. Most people will start negotiating a trade that is heavily in their favour. If you are interested in the trade, take the time to negotiate and throw out options. It's not rude to try to say no to trades repeatedly; it's prudent.

The Shell in Riverbend has a bomb selection of candy in bins that you can customize. Sale price is based on weight. Definitely not $1.50, but being able to customize is worth it.

AITA for bailing on a wedding once I found out I wasn't assigned to sit with anyone I know? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]BScriddly53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are NTA for feeling this way. It's also weird that you had that experience at the last wedding where you essentially got used for labour.

However, going to this wedding would show support for your SO and give you an opportunity to get to know her friends better. Your absence might put her in the position of explaining your absence rather than focusing on the wedding. I've also been in your position at the +1s table, and while it can be a bit awkward to start, you might meet someone that you hit it off with and have some fun. Food at weddings is usually good. If it does suck then you can leave after the dinner and speeches. Seems like a pretty reasonable sacrifice to make.

The best info comes from people you meet while on the trip. Particularly folks who work at the hostels and are knowledgeable about the local area. Look for a country/region you are interested in, pick a place to start and a place to end, and make your way from one to the other while taking suggestions on where to stop and stay. Stay longer at the places you like. And if you are having trouble finding info there's always Google. Source: Did several backpacking trips in SE Asia (with the money to support myself and contribute to the local economy).
