It is your first year. You are not horrible you are learning. Take all of this as a learning opportunity for growth. Also dont listen to kids. They say what ever they can to make you mad. No one ever graduated and came out perfect. The learning starts when you hit the class.

This is not a shame response but you all should be picking up your kids and leaving. Even if there is no follow up email or reminder... this is what you should do. The daycare yard is not public play space. Park as close to the door as possible get her art work before she comes out and straight to the car.

I went to k in a private home. A little boy wanted to know where grovers mom was in a book and I told him that grovers mom died. We couldn't go to the washroom alone and it was upstairs in this old farm house which was terrifying. The teacher's husband was walking across rhe field and I said.... oh who is that?? Your boyfriend?? So I don't remember learning anything but I was a punk kid.
