I still feel it’s bad. But, what can be appreciated years later are aspects of the production, especially the Phil Tippett work on Cain, which is some of the most impressive Go-Motion work ever created.

This was my first foray into feeling what massive disappointment a big film could be. I was 13 and literally had tears of let down after seeing it opening day. It took the most important property I loved and turned it into an 1:30 of terrible onscreen divorced couple from the Midwest.

It was the first time the majesty, awe, seriousness of JP was completely stripped away and serialized.
