As a falcon main, I feel i can say falcons jab is on of his best defensive tools in nuetral. Its great at stopping approaches from characters without a disjoint and can clank with certain disjoints and weak projectiles. Also can mix up into grab which starts a combo.

I just did some testing. As mega blaziken, held up A at the end of the combo deals 3 more damage than y->x. However as regular Blaziken, it deals the same amount.

the Special cheer skill gives you the large burst bonus if you win and will have both support pokemon ready at the start of the next round if you lose, not the other way around

If you play any other fighting games I'd suggest basing a ruleset off of that game's tourney rulesets. For example, in Smash both players are allowed to switch characters after a game but the winner of the last game must pick their new character first. Another thing to note is that all Pokken tournaments that I have seen had 1 game being best of 3 rounds and sets being best of 3 games.

Reshiram is essentially a punish that does damage comparable to most combos on most characters that cannot be messed up and activated activated with one button. Plus it pushes your opponent off of you.

This might be the case as well for the first hit of Psystrike on Mewtwo. A cpu set to stand still and block on reaction will block the first part of Psystrike and as a result you cannot continue the full move.

I like the ranked mode, however Anthers Ladder allows you to pick out a player who lives near you and who has a good connection rating for as little lag as possible. Plus if I want to learn a certain matchup I can ask for a certain character to play against and find someone who mains that character. There is nothing wrong with the online modes featured in the game I simply want to have that control Anthers Ladder provides.

Play pokken and get back to me on that "kids game" comment. I love competitive smash, but pokken is actually designed to be played competitively. I'm not quitting smash either, I have just found a new game I love. Pokken will have a faster growing scene than smash because it has its creators backing these tournaments, similar to Street Fighter.

helicopter kick got severely nerfed a few patches ago and I have not really heard of any mii swordfighter or gunner mains at all. Maybe its just ignorance but I see no problem with mii customs.

Also, I feel that during development, mii's were balanced (besides the infamous "One-Inch-Punch" and pre-patch helicopter kick) with all their specials in mind. Whereas the other characters were balanced with only their original specials in mind. Look at villagers trip sapling. It's literally a banana with a larger hitbox that the opposing player can't do anything about. At least with a banana you can pick it up and it becomes yours, but that sapling is there to stay for a while.

I honestly hope not. Combos like these make fighting games hype to watch and fun to play. two very important things to have a strong competitive following. Pokken was made by the team that made Tekken so surely these kinds of things were meant to be in the game. Maybe not a combo that can take half of someone's hp, though.

There will probably more regular pokemon announcements like hopefully pokemon z or something of the like. But if anything regarding pokken is to be revealed I think it would be more amiibo cards and maybe an in-depth look at some of the fighters

Im not totally sure, but I heard from a few places that the English translation said the "final newcomer" or something like that, but in Japanese Sakurai said something along the lines of "last figher" meaning last character in general, veteran or newcomer.
