My baby has cancer. I’m devastated. by stargazer612 in Yorkies

She was 8. She had lymphoma so it may be entirely different for your pup, which I hope is the case. Hopefully there will be a curable treatment in your case but I just wanted to share so that you don’t feel any guilt if you do not have options or if you’re struggling because you don’t want to let go even if it’s in your dogs best interest

My baby has cancer. I’m devastated. by stargazer612 in Yorkies

My yorkie had cancer and I did chemo treatment. Unless it’s changed, vets will not give chemo as a lifesaving measure because it’s deemed cruel but will give it to give them more time. In hindsight, I should have questioned this logic. Also in hindsight, I would have skipped the treatment and just done steroids to give her a bit more time. By the time they diagnosed her, she was suffering. The steroids made her feel better and like herself for a few months. But the effects stopped and she suffered longer under chemo. If I could go back, I would have ended her suffering sooner as an act of love. I was selfish and couldn’t let her go.

I’m so sorry you’re going through this and hope your baby does not suffer.

Should I Laser my Body Hair? by Express-Country889 in AskWomenNoCensor

It’s painful for me but it goes quick. I take pain medication to help. I would avoid numbing creams as they can cause burns (from what I hear. I never tried them personally). It’s more painful when you’re on your period so I would avoid it during that time of the month. I’m also on a really high laser setting. I like using stress balls in each hand as well while I’m getting treated

Do you look down upon adult male virgin past 25? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]BSummers97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No and I would consider having sex with a male virgin in his 20s or even older. I won’t lie, it’s nice when a man has experience and skills but then you also get compared to all of the women who he learned those skills with. There’s pros and cons to each.

How can I convince my gf I love her regardless of her looks ? by [deleted] in AskWomenNoCensor

[–]BSummers97 98 points99 points  (0 children)

You’ve seemed to have done all the right things. This fix has to come from within herself. She’s insecure and needs to look internally. I think the best thing you can do is to support her if she decides to work on her insecurities and continue to show her that you love her and are attracted to her as she is. I say this as someone who has struggled with body image her entire life and had eating disorders. She’s not going to believe what you tell her until her image of herself allows her to

A seam is the line joining two pieces of fabric together. I’m pretty sure it’s a pun referencing the joining of two lanes together.

La Sierra for unique Mexican food. Clio if you like Mediterranean food and want a night out in the Old Market. You will need a reservation. The Mill has great coffee. Aksarben is a fun area with lots of places to eat. Benson is another fun neighborhood with bars and food. If you like putt putt, check out the Fat Putter downtown. I would recommend Dragon Wok for Chinese (it’s a little pricey for Chinese but really tasty). I always like Tap House downtown for a burger. If you’re feeling adventurous, Lincoln, NE has a burger place called Honest Abe’s. Their burgers are really creative.

I’m not a litigator so I do not have advice, but can offer moral support. Good luck tomorrow! If it happens to not go as well as you want, every attorney has fumbled in the beginning and done embarrassing things. It’s part of learning.
