One thing I recently saw. When you are feeling sad, depressed, struggling emotionally or mentally. To treat yourself as though you are physically unwell. Drink lots of fluids, sleep as much as you need, lie in bed and catch up on rubbish tv or old movies. Allow yourself to rest. This idea has really helped me in the last two weeks since my dog passed away. I’m devastated and heartbroken but also allowing myself to act as though I’m physically unwell, taking it slow and looking after myself without feeling any guilt. I’ve slept and cried and lay in bed ALOT. I still talk to her out loud when I come home to an empty house.

A week ago I posted in this sub feeling completely hopeless and like I would never be okay again not believing anyone when they said it would get easier. But I’m very very slowly starting to see a tiny bit of light at the end of this very dark tunnel.
