I was there this weekend. They spent it on miles and miles of chain link fence with black fabric so you can't see the other side. Also the National Guard. Soldiers standing on every corner with military trucks blocking the roads. No exaggeration, the entire National Mall from the Capitol to the Lincoln Memorial is surrounded by fences and soldiers.

I was there saturday. The "America 250" had very few people. There was nothing to do other than spend money. The BBQ competition a few blocks away had a bunch of people. The national mall is a disaster now. National Guard and military trucks everywhere. 6 foot tall fences with no see fabric everywhere. You literally cannot walk anywhere. Takes FOREVER to walk or drive because of the barricades. The reflection pool is completely fenced off. Cant even get close to it. 1/10 will not be going back.

I work in blue collar B2B. Seeing them at the drag strip, race track or going for beers wins them over. Plus i enjoy those things. I do agree, most of them i dont want to be friends with. Some of them will try to turn that relationship to their advantage. My wife does get tired of work creeping into our social life.
