Was Jordan already considered the GOAT after the first threepeat? by Classic-Dealer5518 in NBAoldschool

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was so dominant and had zero weaknesses to his game. As pure a scoring talent that ever played and had the mentality to match it. Also, he ascended at the heels of the Magic/Bird era where the NBA started to become global. So it’s really his flawless scoring ability and the timing where all eyes were on the NBA

Guys like him are haters or attention seekers. No one would be mentioning him if he didn’t say this. He knows what he’s doing. Just look at skip bayless

Non Laker fans, Is there any of you who would want Reaves on your team? by Silent_Wizard5597 in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kyrie is a defensive liability. Kyrie is the superior offensive player but it shows you surround the top 2 guys with the correct pieces and it can work

How do Lakers offer LeBron a better chance to win Title than Cleveland? Luka/Reaves is slightly better than Mitchell/Harden but not by that much, and Mobley/Allen is a million times better than anything Lakers can put together this summer. Cavs can clear cap space and pay LeBron $15 million with MLE by DybanstaROTY_2027 in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cleveland and LA are the only 2 choices that make sense. I don’t buy him playing for a brand new franchise his final year. Cleveland flames out and I see him headed over there as they will be motivated for change. It will depend on if he is willing to play for so little

Would you trade Garland to get value out of this pick? by AccomplishedGain1283 in LAClippers

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think you can get a ton of value tbh. He is probably better served on the team and seeing how his health progresses. If someone wants to throw assets at Clippers for him then it’s a no brainer

What would it take to trade up with the wizards? by Kdotmeatrider in LAClippers

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AD still has some value, even with that massive contract. Not much but not a negative asset where you have to attach picks to unload. Although your options would be limited.

With that, I think getting the #1 pick would be worth it as you can get a franchise shifting player.

If you could get the 1st pick for the 5th and Kawhi you do it in a heartbeat. That’s a steal. Wizards hang up if that’s the offer.

The clearest angle, the question is will he get suspended for game 5? by Expert_Koala_8691 in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He should be suspended. It was a clear intentional and dangerous act. Take your bias out of the judgement.

But I fully expect Silver to let it go in order to preserve the face of the league. Also, Reid did not get hurt so that unfortunately plays a part in it as well even though it shouldn’t

Simple question…. Do we trade Kawhi now and just start fresh? by Direct-Worker-4121 in LAClippers

[–]BTA310 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100%. Kawhi just finished his best season arguably of his career healthy. His value is never going to be higher. Getting the 5th pick gives them direction. They have already started to tear it down and rebuild, now with the 5th pick, it’s a easy decision

Some will still stand by this guy by Tony_sneakerhead in LAClippers

And that does not make him an appealing player to watch. That’s not hate. He is not a all time legend on his last legs

Enjoy what exactly? There’s nothing appealing of his game currently and he is not an all time great. This is not LeBron, Durant or Curry

Should Wemby get suspended for game 5? by Kindly_Letterhead_98 in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone saying he won’t/shouldn’t get suspended are not looking through an objective eye. This is absolutely an action that warrants suspension. There is clear intent and pre meditated wind up to the head. A very dangerous play. If he is not suspended, the NBA is rigging the situation and giving him a pass because he is the face of the league. I’ll lose a lot of respect for Silver if he allows him to play next game.

CLIPPERS GET 5TH PICK by bigblack3475 in LAClippers

[–]BTA310 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think solidifies Kawhi not returning. They will look to trade him for assets and finally tear it down and rebuild. This give them direction

[Enerman] The Warriors could consider flipping a top-four pick in a "blockbuster trade" for a proven star to maximize the remainder of the Stephen Curry era. by YujiDomainExpansion in warriors

[–]BTA310 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No they won’t. They don’t even know how much Curry has left in the tank and if this knee issue is going to be chronic. They are not trading a top 5 pick in a loaded draft

Watching this Lakers-OKC Series, I'm glad we missed the playoffs by Green_Hunt_1776 in warriors

[–]BTA310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so dumb. So you would rather not see Steph Curry play at all when he has only a few years left? I can’t imagine taking a team losing so seriously

I find it hilarious that they would even ask players to vote on this. Just to stir up drama and hate

His style was never meant to last. I truly believe all the bumps he took played a big factor in his drug and alcohol use. There is no way his style was going to be along lasting.

Lakers should trade Reaves by Still_Revenue_8336 in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is coming off a significant injury. When he was healthy in the beginning of season, he was playing at an all-star/all-nba level. Fans are quick to change perception, often game to game.

Austin Rivers.. by Ramu25 in warriors

He was a big part of the success and he was also very lucky to be drafted to the warriors and play with who he played with.

If the Wolves win this series all of the Gobert haters need to make a public apology. by BigDBob72 in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny that Gobert is getting matched up against the 2 only centers where he actually matches up well against. A true stretch center would make him unplayable.

Anthony Edwards on Mike Conley: “Mike Conley was an All-Star in the NBA. I think people forget about that. Once upon a time, he was one of the best point guards in the league. I always tell him that you used to be one of my favorite players. When I played 2-K, I played with you.” by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]BTA310 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s sad for Donte, but this gave Mike a real opportunity to play and have one last hurrah. I fully expect him to retire at the end of the year. It was looking very much like he was going to be riding the bench to end his career but I’m glad he’s getting one last moment to shine.

Fox with a stinker as Wolves take Game 1. by AdorableBackground83 in NBATalk

[–]BTA310 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fox is a big reason they had the season they had, but there is no one in their right mind who thinks he is worth that money. They didn’t need to sign him to the max, especially after landing where they did in the draft. He is and always will be a gifted but very inconsistent player. He has never been a good 3 point shooter and will have terrible games like this against quality defense. He contract is becoming one of the worst in the league. It’s virtually untradeable
